This year was an amazing ride so far for me and New Beginnings, most of all because of your interest, participation and sharing of my work!!! After years of holding space for others over the Christmas Days, I will celebrate this very special 24th of December in the arms of family and friends, and I am very excited about it. So I want to share some of the joy with you, as you all have been such a big part of my bliss in the past year! May your festivities be blessed with laughter, happiness, unity and the divine spirit of the Season!!! May you have loved ones close and far in your heart and thoughts, and may the fire of the collective awakening burn bright in your hearts!!

Taurus Super Full Moon – A channeled astrology message

again the Moon is bringing a strong wave of frequency shifts over us, that empathic people, highly sensitive people, Indigo Children and Crystal Children already start feeling in impact!! Make sure you have tons of alone time this weekend!! Rather cancel a social event or the other and spend conscious time in interaction and discovery games with your shadow side!!! The Difference between Soul Loss and Dramatic Experience

the other day I posted an article about the three most commune spiritual reasons for the creation of health issues. As a reaction, I received many letters with questions about what it really means to experience a so called “Soul Loss”. And some speculations where mentioned, that I could mean a simple dramatic experience. So allow me to clarify with more details and examples.
It is easy to confuse any dramatic experience and true soul loss… as soul loss is kind of the follow up creation of our internal separation of a dramatic impact, when it turns into a constant coping mechanism. You see, whenever we are dealing with the psychological aftermath of a really shocking experience, it is natural to temporarily separate from the part in us that suffers the most. But, when a traumatic life experiences is serious enough, it can go further and result in the fragmentation of our vital essence, a loss of pieces of our life force and potential.
And the picture is much more complex than we might think, as Soul loss also can appears as the result of an experience that is so personal, no one else could see the impact that creates the traumatic experience. This is especially often the case, when the trauma is a karmic repetition of events and people meeting.
When we are dealing with real Soul loss, we experience feelings of being completely fragmented, we have blocked memory, some are not able to remember years of their life, have suicidal tendencies, struggle with addictions, the complex to be unworthy of being loved or long periods of depression.grSo allow me to share two examples from my work experience, for even more clarity:
About a year ago a man came to me, asking for assistance in his healing process. At that time you could categorize him as a 64year old man, from a western culture, highly educated, with an negative respond on his lips – to just about everything you could possible ask him and a grayish, dark Aura field. He told me about a massive car accident that he was involved in, about ten years ago. In this car crash he suffered such a major head injury , that he was in a coma for 2 weeks and had half a year recovery time to work true after.
When he came to me, he still suffered from regular blackouts, mental disorientation, problems to hold his concentration and physical instabilities when walking. He told me he had a vision once, that he was supposed to live a life of 84years, but there was no passion for life inside him.
After 3 days of mental, physical and emotional preparation, we approached his problem in a sacred ceremony – with the support of sacred plant medicine. During his Shamanic Journey he had the chance to experience the emotional impact of that night one more time. A courtesy of the sacred medicine to evoke healing and re-connection with the true essence of our higher-self; pure, blissful dancing light.
But that is not what happened…. because he had experienced this trauma as so profoundly life threatening, and had spend years and years of going back in his memory, remembering all the bad over and over again.. he nearly left…. what that means… three times during the ceremony, I was advised by his spirit guides and the Ascended Masters to call his soul back into the room and into his physical body – with the guiding songs of the medicine.
If I would not have followed this advice, he could have lost even more particles of his conscious awareness, to the emotional and energetic memory of the event. Or the energetic impact of the ceremony could have increased his negativity to a degree, that would have allowed him to manifest a physical illness – and terminate his life before it is his time (in 20years). This is thru Soul Loss…
Good news, my friend was back here already this year – for more shifting and changing of his mindset! He is strongly present, you can feel him in his body when you hug him, he walks without insecurity, he is friendly and writes songs about his eternal divine love potential. I am so proud of him for doing such an amazing job of self-healing!!20My second example is an Indigo Child,  a beautiful, powerful and magical woman, an amazon and true spiritual warrior. She is caring the power inside of her, to clear and transform thousands of years of feminine abuse for the collective human ascension.
But first things first.. when we met, she shared her story with me. A story of physical-, mental-, emotional and sexual abuse, by both of her parents. An abuse that started as early as with her 3rd life year and ended only when she took the first way out, when she turned 16. Again we approached with a healing ceremony and the following unveiled.
In order to cope with her horrendous experience, she had dissociated herself from particles of her true soul – as a natural reaction of her survival instinct. But because the massive abuse went on for many years, there was a point where she forgot that this original and whole center in her once existed. Indeed her separation was so profound, that she even thought of her own true-self’s memories as an entity –a completely externally existing being – trying to attack her mentally and push her to changes she feared. Because she did such an excellent job in her mental preparation, her physical process of release and internal shifting went on for weeks after our work together. She fund the strength to accept the entity as her own origin and reintegrate the former separated parts of her soul.
And by now, she is rocking the boat by giving lectures for women at shamanic tantric meetings! I read a beautiful article about the vulnerable power and beauty of being feminine and every picture I see of her, shows her beautifully shining inner light in her eyes.

To do so, we need to balance our internal forces (masculinity, femininity, divinity and humanity), find authentic expression for our feelings and live in general a truthful life.

How to hold space for yourself first

this is the follow up to yesterdays article about “how to hold space”. In the last year of  working with ancient plant medicine, I was in the blessed position to hold space for the most amazing internal transformations human beings can surrender to. I was allowed to witness the release of incredible depths of pain, anger and sadness disolve into the blissful feeling of oneness.
Non of that would have been possible without the ability to hold space. And, as in this article also mentioned, it is crucial to hold space for yourself first!! We need to be filled, even over-floating with clarity, divine connection and unconditional love for ourselves – to effectively create and hold a sacred space for others.

The desire to hold space well for other people is vast and diverse.

I have heard from the most fascinating range of people about how this post is being circulated and used. It’s showing up in home schooling forums, palliative and hospice care circles, art communities, spiritual retreat center, universities, alcoholics anonymous groups, psychotherapists’ offices, etc. The most interesting place I heard about it being shared was within the US Marines. It is also touching the lives of people supporting their parents, children, spouses and friends through difficult times.

The lesson in this is that no matter who or where you are, you can do the beautiful and important work of holding space for other people. There are so many of us who are making this a priority in our lives that I feel hopeful that this world is finally swinging like a pendulum away from a place of isolation and individualism to a place of deeper connection and loveIsn’t that a beautiful idea?

Recently, I participated in an online course on “Leading from the Future as it Emerges: From Ego-system to Eco-system” and the underlying premise of the course was that we need to find a way to make deeper connections with ourselves, others, and the earth so that we bring about a paradigm shift and stop this crash course we’re on. There were more than 25,000 from around the world participating in the course. That’s a LOT of people who share a common passion for changing the ways in which we interact and make decisions. I walked away feeling increasingly hopeful that I am part of a swelling tide of change.

46We are doing the best we can to live in love and community.

We are not perfect, and sometimes we still make selfish decisions, but we are doing our best. Thank you for being part of the change.
The other thing that struck me as I read through all of the comments, emails, etc., is that, while all of you are all responding from a place of generosity and openheartedness, wanting to learn more about holding space for others, you also need to be given permission and encouragement to hold space for yourselves.
This is really important. If we don’t care for ourselves well in this work, we’ll suffer burnout, and risk becoming cynical and/or ineffective.

PLEASE take the time to hold space for yourself so that you can hold space for others!

It is not selfish to focus on yourself. In fact, it’s an act of generosity and commitment to make sure that you are at your best when you support others. They will get much more effective, meaningful, and openhearted support from you if you are healthy and strong.
In the Art of Hosting work that I do and teach, we talk about “hosting ourselves first”. What does it mean to “host myself first”? It means, simply, that anything I am prepared to encounter once I walk into a room, I need to be prepared to encounter and host in myself first. In order to prepare myself for conflict, frustration, ego, fear, anger, weariness, envy, injustice, etc., I need to sit with myself, look into my own heart, bear witness to what I see there, and address it in whatever way I need to before I can do it for others. I can’t hide any of that stuff in the shadows, because what is hidden there tends to come out in ways I don’t want it to when I am under stress.

AND just as I am prepared to offer compassion, understanding, forgiveness, and resolution to anything that shows up in the room, I need to offer it to myself first. Only when I am present for myself and compassionate with myself will I be prepared to host with strength and courage.
In other words, all of those points that I made about how to hold space for others can and should be applied to yourself first. Give yourself permission to trust your own intuition. Give yourself only as much information as you can handle. Don’t let anyone take your power away. Keep your ego out of it. Make yourself feel safe enough to fail. Give guidance and help to yourself with humility and thoughtfulness. Create your own container for complex emotions, fears, trauma, etc. And allow yourself to make decisions that are different from what other people would make.

This isn’t necessarily easy, when you’re doing the often stressful and time-consuming work of holding space for others, but it is imperative.

Here are some other tips on how to hold space for yourself.walking

  1. Learn when to walk away. You can’t serve other people well when your energy is depleted. Even if you can only leave the hospital room of your loved one for short periods of time, or you’re a single mom who doesn’t have much of a support system for caring from your kids, it is imperative that you find times when you can walk away from the place where you are needed most to take deep breaths, walk in nature, go for a swim, or simply sit and stare at the sunset. Replenish yourself so that you can return without bitterness. Whenever you can, take a longer break (a week at a retreat does wonders).
  2. Let the tears flow. When the only thing you can do is cry, that’s often the best thing you can do. Let the tears wash away the accumulated ick in your soul. A social worker once told me that tears are the window-washer of the soul and she was right. They help to clear your vision so that you can see better and move forward more successfully. When my husband was in the psych ward a few years ago, and I still had to maintain some semblance of normalcy for my children, I spent many, many hours weeping as I drove from the hospital to the soccer field and back again. Releasing those tears when I was alone or with close friends allowed me to be strong for the people who needed me most.
  3. Let others hold space for you. You can’t do this work alone and you’re not meant to. We are all meant to be communal people, showing up for each other in reciprocal ways. As I mentioned in my original post about holding space, we were able to hold space for my mom in her dying because others (like Anne, the palliative care nurse) were holding space for us. Many others were stopping to visit, bringing food, etc. We would have been much less able to walk that path with Mom if we hadn’t known there was a strong container in which we were being held.images (7)
  4. Practice mindfulness. Mindfulness is simply “paying attention to your attention”. In mindfulness meditation, you are taught that, instead of trying to stop the thoughts, you should simply notice them and let them pass. You don’t need to sit on a meditation cushion to practice mindfulness – simply pay attention to what emotions and thoughts are showing up, and when they come, wish them well and send them on their way. Are you angry? Notice the anger, name it anger, ask yourself whether there is any value in holding onto this anger, and then let it pass. Frustrated? Notice, name, inquire, and then let it pass.
  5. Find sources of inspiration. There are many, many writers, artists, musicians, etc. whose wisdom can help you hold space for yourself. When I was nearing a nervous breakdown earlier this week because of the intensity, I went to a Martyn Joseph concert (my favorite musician), and when he started to sing “I need you brave, I want you brave, I need you strong to sing along, You are so beautiful, and I’m not wrong”, I was sure he was singing directly to me. (Watch it on Youtube.) That evening of music shifted the way I felt about what was going on and I was able to walk back into my work with courage and strength.
  6. Let other people live their own stories. You are not in charge of the world. You are only in charge of yourself and your own behaviours, thoughts, emotions, etc. Often when you are a caregiver, you’ll find yourself the target of other people’s frustration, anger, fear, etc. REMEMBER – that’s THEIR story, not yours. Just because they yell at you doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. Take a deep breath, say to yourself “I am not responsible for their emotion, I am only responsible for how I respond”, and then let it go. When you’re feeling wounded by what they’re projecting on you, return to the points above and walk away, practice mindfulness, and let others hold space for you.download (3)
  7. Find a creative outlet for processing what you’re experiencing. Write in a journal, paint, dance, bake, play the guitar – do whatever replenishes your soul. Few things are as healing as time spent in creative practice. One of my favorite things to do is something I call Mandala Journaiing, where I bring both my words and my wordlessness to the circle. I hope that you will find the time this week to hold space for yourself. Your work is important, and the world needs more generous and open hearts who are healthy and strong enough to serve well.

Sacred Circle for Calling the Animals into the Diamond Vortex by Celia Fenn

In the last 4 years of living with 4 dogs and sharing there life in the wilderness (we walk before daylight and enjoy the freedom, clarity of energy and purity of the New Day), I have managed to larn more about the part in human nature that is “the animal”, than in 15years of studying before. The part, that allows us crulty on an emotional, mental, spiritual and physical level. The part that activates survival – fight – unclarity in relationships and much more. This allowed me to integrate more awareness,unconditional love and kindness in my everyday actions and relationships with all human beings I met.
So you can imagine that I feel excited, happy and inspired by the moment in time, that tells us to call back the animal spirits of the world to manifest the new world with us!! With love to all the Star-Beings out there working for the bigger picture – and all who wish to join the circle!

ddNow, finally, breathe deeply and turn to the NORTH, the place of EARTH and deep Wisdom and Love. Here we call forth the Spirit Animals and the Animals Guides, the White Lions, the White Whales, the White Buffalo, the Unicorns, the Dragons and all the Magical and Wise Beings who guide us.
“Oh wise ones, we call you to come to us and to be with us and work with us once again. Many have forgotten who you are and that you are gifts from the Stars, but we remember you and we honor you. We honor your wisdom and power and your guidance on the wheel of life. Return your attention now to your own Heart Space, and extend your Diamond Gratitude upwards to the Heart of God and downwards to the Heart of the Earth. Allow yourself and your circle to be a conduit or a channel for the flow of Divine Diamond Light and Blessings from the Heart of God to the Heart of the Earth. So many of us feel called these days to understand on very profound levels – how our power to manifest, our responsibility to use our powers wisely and the divine plan work together. In this article, I feel guided to talk about what we are consciously or unconsciously manifesting on the physical plane. This is a major theme these days and will continue to be so. We’ve all progressed so much and are able to manifest much faster – we need to become more conscious of this process. Each and every one of us is capable of creating and manifesting and that is a thing we’ve been doing whether we were aware of it or not. We have been creating constantly all our life, naturally, as it is part of us as Co-Creator beings. Experiences, certain situations, relationships, abundance and literally everything in our life was created and manifested by Us. If until now we’ve been doing it unconsciously, now with all the energetic upgrades, all the shifts in vibration and frequency we’ve been experiencing, it is time to become more aware of all these creations, in order to shape our reality in the vision of our Soul`s Purpose.
The most important aspect of manifestation, that I feel is necessary to emphasise is Self-awareness. Manifestation/Creation is not something you “do” it is something you are, it is a state of being and it’s constant. Self-awareness is the key to create and manifest into your reality whatever you intend to.

16Creation exists only in the Now, so first and foremost, we need to ground ourselves in the present moment of Now. When we are in the Now, being self-aware comes easy, cause in the Now, we simply are. Our emotions and thoughts do create our reality, so awareness of those is important, but what really creates our reality is our Consciousness, our Whole being, All we are. So, if we have any sort of fear, blockage, outdated perception, limitation etc. that will stay in the way of creating that which our Heart wants.
We have to become the Observers, which means being in a neutral state of being, of non-judgement. In that place we are able to acknowledge, release and heal what no longer serves us . Those blockages that I’ve mentioned above are not there coincidentally, we’ve placed them on our journey in order to grow. When you are ready to release those and grow from them, it is the first step towards creating the reality that you desire.

Another important aspect of manifestation/creation is Intentions. The Universe will not know what you truly desire  to experience in your reality, unless you “ask” for it. You have Freewill, which is a Universal Law, that is why you have to set intentions and hold those intentions. By setting intentions you tell the Universe, “Hey, this is what I want, make it happen! “

How do we set intentions ?
There are numerous simple ways to do that: using affirmations, mantras, guided meditations, visualisations etc. Pick one or more that fit you best. When you are setting your intentions, be specific, but make sure you are not getting caught up in details, let the Universe take care of the details. Trust in yourself and your abilities and have faith that which you intend to. Have no expectations of how that which you intend to, will take form. Life is full of surprises and your expectations will not only be outrun, but if you are too focused on your expectation, which is nothing more than a possibility from a godzillion other possibilities, you could miss the real deal.
Simply stay open to any possibility, opportunity that might be presented to you on the way, follow the signs and synchronicities and trust.
Prepare to be amazed by your own creator abilities, your own power. Use it wisely, consciously.

Addiction is not a disease – Is a control mechanism

It can not be a coincidence that this article found me right after the other article about addiction. At this moment of time the collective is big time working out addictions as they are part of the first Chakra lower vibration energies. We need to have a clean slate to be able to ascend!! Every addiction arises from an unconscious refusal to face and move through your own pain. Every addiction starts with pain and ends with pain. Whatever the substance you are addicted to – alcohol, food, legal or illegal drugs, or a person – you are using something or someone to cover your pain. “- Eckhart Tolle

Suffering is an attachment to the sensation of pain, which leaves no other choice than escaping to the extent that the existence becomes intolerable. Substance abuse is a mechanism to avoid confronting pain and is called addiction.

Each substance produces a different relationship according to the consumer, substance and context.

The relationship established with psychoactive substances varies from one cultural group to another and from person to person. It is quite absurd to think that all of humanity relates in the same way to these substances and even more incoherent to put the barbiturates, cocaine, alcohol, heroin, methamphetamines and marijuana in the same bag. The relationship each person establishes with these “drugs” varies greatly depending on the context, biochemistry of the substance, culture and personal dynamics. Clearly, the first thing that absorbs the individual in the “addiction”, before developing brain neuro adaptations to these substances, is the cultural construction. The culture constructed by fear, prohibition, and ignorance; self-destruct mechanisms, “struggle”, “demons”, “possession”, “transgression”, “death”, going to the thanatos of the person who is suffering, favoring the drive of the substance.

Consumer

Different anchoring mechanisms to addiction may exist, as well as immense variants of forms of suffering that the consumer needs to sleep or escape from. Ignorance and fear installed by culture can also have different effects on each individual. Each one is a universe, which is more evident if we go into altered states of consciousness.

Substance

Physical dependence of substances occurs as a result of neural adaptations in brain circuits that control functions, such as heart rate or blood pressure. Alcohol, nicotine, barbiturates and opiates (heroin), produce physical dependence. While other high addictive potential drugs like cocaine or amphetamines produce psychological dependency. Marijuana has not addictive potential, but produces a psychological dependency when it’s abused.

Context

The context favors a poor relationship with the substances, creating fear, guilt and ignorance in the prohibition. The lack of adequate information on the sacred traditional use of master plants that alter consciousness, gives place to the recreational use and constant abuse in handling and consumption. The plants are disrespected and altered as in the case of the coca and others are demonized into madness such as marijuana.

A deeply addicted society finds a kind of scapegoat in substances that have always been with humanity and with the so called addicts, which break the established consensus by consuming “drugs” and are margined to maintain the status quo.

What is the fundamental reason for the almost medieval fear caused by drugs? Could it be that the so called addiction debates the proper use of psychoactive substances with sacred origin? What is behind the fear of different states of consciousness?

Addiction is a source of power

The “addiction” as a chronic condition inherent to certain beings, victims of “demons” contained in substances has become one of the largest business and source of power of our era. The war against drugs “invests” resources of the states in weapons, control systems, prisons and police forces. Drug trafficking and the gun industry maintains a correlation of violence that makes them survive through prohibition. The concept that the substances should be controlled within a police order, gives the result that the substance is available in a distribution and manufacturing favoring criminal drug action. There is no possibility of a legal system based on public health and the concern of the health of the consumers after being labeled as “criminal offenders” and “vicious”.


Governments solve part of their economy on drug money laundering in an act that nobody pretends to see. Pharmaceutical companies create drugs as Peregoric or the same Heroin, and now get huge profits in opioids replacement drugs. The rehabilitation centers and programs whose vision is to create dependent “forced clubs” with programs such as the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics, created to live with the “chronic dependency”, becomes the main engines of the addiction cycle.

 Institutions working with the “addiction” see the “addict” as a chronically ill individual needed of “sponsors” or whose life story will always require the guide of gurus, pastors, priests, therapists and other power holders. The system structure of the prohibition of certain substances and the concept of addiction as a chronic disease promotes addictive mechanisms, creating more ignorance and barbarism around a social symptom related clearly to suffering.

The cure for addiction

Paradoxically, the cure for addiction is been found precisely in master plants such as Iboga and Ayahuasca; entheogens that promote the individual to reconnect with its true nature. The shamanic use of these plants understands the universe as energy, whose vision of God and sexuality is far from the cultural order that the West has imposed into the world. These plants give a “reset” of the mind, leading to the understanding of suffering and ego mechanisms that imprison the individual in crisis. However, the power strata classify these plants as illegal drugs and seek by all means to keep the current system based on ignorance and fear. Through the conscious use of master plants in sacred contexts, we have a great opportunity to emerge from our paradigms connected to suffering and see it as an opportunity for understanding. Master plants allow us to connect with the universe, with the intelligence of the cosmos and help us to seek healing of our body, mind and soul.

Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing. The Top Five Ways to Induce Lucid Dreaming

Lucid dreaming doesn’t work for everyone, but those that do find themselves able to induce lucid dreams largely rely on a few popular methods. While most of these lucid dreaming tips rely only on mental preparation and self-coaching to induce lucid dreams, there are lucid dream gadgets, such as the lucid dreaming mask, that also assist in controlling your dreams. Read on to learn more:

1. REALITY CHECK

One of the fundamentals of learning to lucid dream is the reality check. While a successful reality check may induce lucid dreaming on its own, it is also an integral part of many other lucid dreaming techniques. Thus, it is a good place to begin when first attempting to enter a lucid dream.

The idea behind the reality check is that by noticing discrepancies between the reality in your waking life and that in a dream, you will be able to become aware that you are dreaming and thus take control.
Here are a few popular reality check methods for inducing a lucid dream:

Draw a large dot or symbol on your hand. Look down at it periodically throughout the day, each time asking yourself: “Am I awake or dreaming?” Make this a habit. Eventually, this question will pop up within a dream, allowing you to become aware and enter a lucid dream. Plug your nose and close your mouth. Can you still breath? Perhaps you are dreaming. Look at a clock. Are the numbers garbled (if digital)? Does the passage of time seem out of whack? These are good indicators of being in a dream. Try to run. Being unable to run, or finding that you run at a sluggish pace, or as if you are wading through water is a classic sign of dreaming. Try poking your finger through your wrist. If you find that you can pass parts of your body through yourself, this may be a good cue to begin lucid dreaming.

Set yourself a timer or simply remember to do one or more of these reality checks throughout the day, even when it seems that you are awake. Once these become ingrained in your normal, routine behavior, you’ll learn to run these reality checks while you are dreaming, thus making it easier for you induce lucid dreams.

2. RECOGNIZE DREAM SIGNS

Dream signs, like reality checks, are good indicators that you are dreaming and help “snap” you into a lucid dream. Universal dream signs include:

Failing electronics. Light switches, lamps, small kitchen appliances and other electronic items rarely function properly in dreams. Lighting discrepancies. Is it dark but, for some reason, you can see brightly colored objects anyway? This is a good sign that you are dreaming. Deformations. Morphing shapes or oddly shaped or sized items are indicators that you are dreaming. Recurring dreams. While not a specific item, many people have recurring dreams (i.e. teeth falling out, being chased). Encountering a situation like this is a good cue to attempt to enter a lucid dream.

Dream signs and reality checks are the meat and potatoes of lucid dream induction. Use them in conjunction with the methods below:

3. MNEMONIC INDUCED LUCID DREAMING (MILD)

As you fall asleep, repeat to yourself, “I will wake up after each dream period and remember my dream.”
Now, each time you wake up during the night, write down everything you can recall from your dream. If you can’t remember the specific content of your dream, simply write down how you feel.

Go back to sleep. As you drift off to sleep again, keep your previous dream in mind. Try to visualize yourself back inside the dream, picking up where you left off (or where you’d like it to go).
Repeat this process throughout the night until you enter a lucid dream.

4. WAKE INDUCED LUCID DREAMING (WILD)

The principle of WILD is to wake yourself after about 5 to 6 hours of sleep and spend some time out of bed focusing on having a lucid dream.
Do something to make your mind receptive to lucid dreaming by watching a movie about dreams or reading articles about lucid dreaming.

As you lay back down to go to sleep, try to imagine the type of dream you’d like to have. Or, better yet, repeat to yourself what you are going to do in your dream until you fall asleep.

EILD, also known as technology-assisted lucid dreaming or electrically induce lucid dreaming, is a good method for those that have trouble having lucid dreams on their own. There are many dream devices on the market to help induce lucid dreams, but the original and most effect device is a dream mask, such as that offered by The Dream Mask LLC.

Dream masks work by detecting the Rapid Eye Movement (REM) stage of sleep and stimulating you in order to awaken your mind, but not your body. Artificial cues, such as LED lights or tones will alert the user of a dream mask that he or she is dreaming. Once you are aware that you are in a dream, you can then enter a lucid dream.

As you can see, there are several effective ways to dream lucidly, but there are a few tried and true methods and devices that aid in the process.

Additional lucid dreaming tips that may help include:
Keep a dream journal. This will increase your dream recall, which is a great aid in inducing lucid dreams. Alter your sleep cycle. Sometimes being jarred out of your normal sleep patterns can result in lucid dreaming. Drink caffeine before bed. This helps keep your mind awake while your body falls asleep: the key to inducing a lucid dream.

Try one or more of these options, or a combination of these induction principles and you will greatly increase your chances of having a lucid dream.
