Dear Friends,
the other day we talked about Soul Mates and Soul Families, about our collective shift to higher vibration and the healing of our Family Tree. For many of us the past few days of the New Moon energy influence, have been a call to let go of the ties to our family pattern, and set ourselves free for the creation of the family tribes of our soul. And again it will be the Indigo Children, Crystal Children and Highly Empathic People, who hear this call into the Golden Age of Humanity first, and lead us the way.
Since years I watch an increasing amount of young and incredible talented people in their habit of traveling the world as tribes. Most of them are Indigo and Crystal Children, expressing with this new type of “Hippy Movement” our collective desire to find the family of our soul and live with them according to our core values. All of us carry in our souls the knowledge, that a more beautiful world is possible. A memory of our true origin is encoded in our DNA, until one day it is awakened and our desire starts guiding the way. Just by existing as a multiracial, multinational family, this young people demonstrated their belief in the possibility of equality and peace on earth.
And many of this high vibrating beings truly have a contract with other souls to unite as one family of the heart, and play an active role in the transformation of humanity into The Golden Age of Humanity – the time we are in now. This agreements exist in the super-conscious of large soul-groups, the awareness of smaller collectives and between individuals. The people of this Soul Families will choose to come together despite their differences in service to humanity, in order to support the spiritual enlightenment and evolution of the collective human race. They will come together to consolidate the total knowledge of humanity as one, bring back together that which was split and live a life based on unity consciousness, indigenous wisdom from all parts of the planet and planetary sustainability. Knowledge will be shared freely, the divine feminine and the divine masculine will co-exist in equality and co-operation.
Another development for our near future is, that people will recognize a leader no longer as the one that talks the loudest, boasts of successes, or has the support of the elite. Leaders will be those whose actions speak the loudest, the ones that have shown wisdom, compassion, kindness and courage in challenging situations, and have proven that they work for the benefit of all beings. And this are qualities a lot of Indigo and Crystals naturally feel a need to develop, express and share with the world.33Many prophesies have spoken of this time and the children of all colors and regions of the world, that will help unite humanity in their ONENESS of HEART. lmSo if you hear the call to be part of a family you might not even know jet, start listening to the little things your subconscious is whispering to you. Pay attention to your authentic core values and the ways how you need to be treated in order to feel safe and home with people. Don’t rush it, just hold the awareness in your heart, that there are others in this world with skills, attributes and soul desire – that match yours perfectly.

I hope this information helps you to be patient and hold your horses until the family of your heart and soul arrives in your life, to manifest the parts of the Golden Age of Aquarius – you are collectively dreaming of. Keep breathing deeply and keep walking in divine faith until the divine plan is beautifully unfolding in front of our eyes!

We Are The Infinite Ocean Of Cosmic Light

Light Tree Gaia SpiritThat Light is not somewhere “else”, not somewhere “beyond” our physical existence, nor is it simply a universal condition that existed in the distant past and is now out of reach. It shines within us right now as the very source of our being. In that Light, we are quite literally unified with the entire Universe. We always have been and always will be.
This transcendental state of unity is certainly an abstract concept, and in metaphysical languages we might have to refer to it as a higher dimension, but that higher dimension is not separate from our everyday experience of the physical world. On the contrary, it provides the very substance of our entire experience of being here now. It is the “stuff” of both consciousness and matter, from our living bodies to inanimate rocks to the distant quasars. If that Cosmic Light were not shining forth at this very moment, nothing whatsoever would exist.
The essence of mystical knowledge resonates with our deepest level of being, yet it persistently defies our logic-oriented minds. Normal objective logic is based on the knowledge of material separateness, and as far as our everyday existence is concerned, this is what reality is. To the ancient mystics, this is the classical trap.

The physical level of experience is that part of our being which makes us think we are separate, when in Reality we are not. If we think the physical is the only mode of being, we have fallen into the trap of the ego-self — we have become so fully attached to the material realm that we too easily think of our body as our only mode of selfness, and have come to think of it as the only part of our being. This causes us, for example, to fear death. We fear death because we cannot see beyond it — we have essentially no awareness of our true multi-dimensional reality and those modes of our being which are independent of the physical body.

The material world is transient — things come and go, bioforms included. To the mystic, all forms of impermanence are a type of non-reality, and in many of the ancient teachings, such as in the writings of one of the most highly revered non-dualists, Shankara, we find the physical level being referred to as illusion. This is not to say that it doesn’t really exist, but rather that we see its true form in a limited, illusory sense. There is no doubt that the physical experience is real. If we walk into a brick wall, it hurts — both the wall and the pain are real enough. But the pain will pass, the goose-egg will heal, and the wall will eventually crumble. What is important to realize is that through all the experiences of change, the true reality which underlies and creates the physical world of change does not change. That level of reality which never changes is the most real — everything else is temporary and illusory. The ultimate substance and reality of the Universe is not separate particles scattered around in space, but rather a timeless condition of Universal Light.

Secrets In Plain Sight – Macrocosmic Harmony

The best temples serve as bridges between human scale and the macrocosm. When Beverly Spicer sent me the following image, something clicked and I understood the human body, the Sphinx and the Pyramids in a new way. I’m not sure which book this black-and-white geometric analysis of Pharaoh Rameses II was scanned from—it appears to be mirrored all over the Internet.


The nemes headcloth has distinctive, straight-edged folds, which imply an intersection point above the head. Nested equilateral triangles locate the pharaoh’s third eye appropriately as an all-seeing-eye in the center of the triangle (like the eye of providence on the dollar bill).

That reminds me of an image I made recently. Here is essentially what I wrote about it on Facebook:

Beauty is experienced in the world, love in the body, and truth in the mind. The eye of horus in the center symbolizes the view of any observer. The transcendentals are ontologically one and thus they are convertible: e.g., where there is truth, there is beauty and love also. The transcendentals are irreducible qualities of awareness. The circle represents the seeming boundary between your interior sensations, thoughts, and perceptions and your exterior body, mind, and world.


Just as the transcendental qualities of awareness (love, beauty, truth) are ontologically one, so too are the trinity of data types you experience. How far from your awareness are your sensations, perceptions or thoughts? Examine your experience and you will see that there is no distance.

Do the thoughts running through your mind take place in a fundamentally different place than the sensations of your body or your perceptions of the world? They are all convertible because all this data is experienced by awareness and yet we have no trouble identifying which channel the information flows through. There is a fundamental and irreducible trinity to awareness.

I now see this ontological trinity as the fountainhead of relationships such as Isis/Horus/Osiris, Mary/Jesus/Holy-Spirit, and even Neutron/Proton/Electron.

Following a hunch I wanted to see if the Sphinx’s nemes followed the same pattern. I discovered that the pattern is similar but is also subtly different. The Sphinx’s nemes doesn’t imply nested triangles but the uraeus symbolizing the pharaoh’s pineal gland is located in the center of the vesica piscis as indicated by the crossed red lines. Incidentally, I described how to draw this image step-by-step in the latest installment of my Photoshop User Magazine column, Beyond Photoshop.


Zooming out, the G2 pyramid also appears to fit the pattern.


It clicked for me when I realized that the geometric template for the Sphinx is the same as the geometric template for the Great Pyramid that I published in my book Quantification. The edge of the inscribed equilateral triangle measures 555.5 feet in the Great Pyramid.


In this way the House of the Temple (it was never a tomb) is a macrocosm of the Body carved on the Sphinx. Zooming out once again, the Engraved Hourglass Nebula is a macrocosm of that House. As above, so below.

A big synchronicity for me is that I learned about this three-level holographic homology not from reading Eliade but from reading Beverly Spicer’s excellent book and PhD thesis from the School of Architecture at the University of Texas called, “The Ka’bah: Rhythms of Culture, Faith and Physiology,” which she was kind enough to send me. Remember Beverly was the person who sent me the black-and-white Rameses II image? That whole sequence of events was quite illuminating!

Speaking of illumination, did you know that the human eye is most sensitive to a wavelength of 555 nanometers, which forms the center point of our visual perception? At other frequencies, more radiant intensity is required to achieve the same luminous intensity.

See how the colors are strongest in the middle of the color ramp and fade away as they approach the infrared and ultraviolet ends of the spectrum? 555 nm marks the midpoint.

The peak luminous intensity of sunlight also has a wavelength of 555 nanometers. This should be no surprise because our eyes evolved, or perhaps were designed to view the light of our particular Sun. The beauty of repeating 5’s harmonizing our visual perception, 5 symbolizing life, is not lost on me.

After reading a stimulating article Joe Dubs linked on Facebook entitled, “The Pythagorean Relationship Between Pi, e, and Phi” by Peter Felicetti, I realized I already knew the content, but I hadn’t considered the following geometry algebraically before. One can arrange Phi, Pi and e as an almost perfect Pythagorean triangle, but there is a tiny gap that I labeled “The Mystery” at the end of my article on Graham Hancock’s site.

When I saw it algebraically, a few more puzzle pieces fit together and it is no longer a mystery to me but a harmonious work of rational design from a very high level.

The Quadrivium

The same gap that we hear between twelve just perfect fifths and seven octaves (known as the Cycle of Fifths or the Pythagorean comma), the relationship of transcendental constants arranged in a Pythagorean triangle, and the orbital mechanics of our planet are all related because we are living in a mathematical construct. This was known long ago.

“All is number.” -Pythagoras

The above image expresses the quadrivium: number, geometry, music, and astronomy. In other words, number in itself, number in space, number in time, and number in spacetime.

I knew the Solar Year also factors in the Earth’s equatorial circumference—the following equation was published by John Michell and Robin Heath in The Lost Science of Measuring the Earth. I made this illustration commemorating this important relationship, one that essentially defines the foot.


Speaking of Michell and Heath, they were the authors who deciphered the 5:12:13 triangle and its connection with the lunar cycle. When I was researching extending the Pythagorean theorem into three dimensions, I came across a diagram connecting the 5:12:13 and 3:4:5 triangles. That, and studying Gary Osborn’s work, inspired me to put together this image showing how dynamics related to the Earth, Moon and Sun emerge from something as fundamental to geometry as the first two Pythagorean triples.

Number in space and spacetime

Earth’s orbital circumference has certain clear resonances with our measurement systems.


Bringing together what I wrote about in Cubits, in my book Taking Measure: Explorations in Number, Architecture and Consciousness, and from my recent experience participating in Graham Hancock’s forums when I was author of the month, these pieces now fit together with greater clarity.


Michael Kuser wrote something on my wall that inspired the following image. The first part shows the combined diagonals of the cubes bounding Earth and Moon compared to their average distance from the Sun are proportioned as the foot is to the mile (99.3%).
Lawrence Edlund discovered that the average distance of the Earth to the Sun compared to the distance light travels in one revolution of the Earth around the Sun are proportioned as the inch is to the mile (99.9%).
I put two and two together and graphically show how our units of measure resonate with our local macrocosm.


In “Rotations” you see more proof that our system is a product of base-10 design. The Moon’s orbital period with respect to the fixed stars is 27.3 Earth days. Earth actually rotates 366.3 times per year relative to the stars because the orbital motion of the Earth around the Sun causes roughly one additional rotation of the planet on its own axis. Here is what Knight and Butler had to say about this phenomenon in Before the Pyramids (p240), where they describe how the megalithic system is based on the division of a circle into 366 units:

“In a solar year the Sun rises 365 times but, during the same time, a star will have risen 366 times. It sounds odd but it’s true. Each day according to the rising of a star (a sidereal day), is 23 hours 56 minutes 4 seconds in length, whereas a mean solar day is 24 hours in length. That leaves a discrepancy of 236 seconds, which over the course of a year amounts to another 24 hours. It is part of the clockwork mechanism of our solar system that there are different sorts of years, dependent on what one is observing. Our megalithic and pre-megalithic ancestors in Britain focused on the number of times a star rose in a year, and the result was 366 times [366.3 with one more digit of accuracy].”


Tonight I realized that the product of these rotations, 27.3 x 366.3 = 9999.99. What are the chances? I can’t begin to calculate the astronomical odds against such a numeric symmetry if our planet and its natural satellite were formed by random processes. Note that this product is independent of units and calculated solely on number of Earth rotations relative to our Moon and Sun.

Peter Plichta’s book God’s Secret Formula: Deciphering the Riddle of the Universe and the Prime Number Code taught me that 1/27.3 ≈ 0.03663 and 1/366.3 ≈ 0.00273, which you can easily verify with a calculator.

The ratio of the polar diameter of the Earth to the polar diameter of the Moon is 3.663 and vice-versa, the reciprocal ratio is 0.273 with more than 99.9% accuracy. This means the Earth and Moon system’s rotations and sizes are related in a reciprocal mathematical relationship.

Of course this is another example of what I have called “The Mystery of 273,” in this page out of Quantification.

The Mystery of 273 (update)

Is what we call “conscious thought” incredibly rare in the grand scheme of things, relegated as it is to 2-3mm of neocortex on the surface of our brains?
We and all other organisms on this planet live in a thin biospherical shell 2-3 miles thick. The Earth orbits the Sun in the sweet spot where oceans are kept liquid and the planet retains a transparent atmosphere so perfect for astronomy and our survival. A planetary magnetic field and ozone layer shields us from the charged particles continually pouring out of the Sun, along with many variables conductive to life being fortuitously fine-tuned.

Our system orbits the center of the Milky Way galaxy in another sweet spot, a circular band where products of stellar fusion such as elements heavier than helium are plentiful enough, but star formation isn’t still so active that we are bombarded out of existence. In this light, consciousness appears to be a gossamer membrane, a rare and exquisite miracle in all the cold vastness of space. This membrane/shell structure is another Body—House—Cosmos homology if you think about it.


The following comparison highlights another possibility. The neuronal structures within our brains, roads (which evolved organically around Paris rather than through city planning as in much of North America), and the large-scale structure of the universe (simulated on the Max Planck supercomputer) all exhibit the same specific branching, filamentous pattern. Come to think of it, so too do mushroom mycelial mats, and maps of the entire Internet. What these disparate phenomena have in common is that they are all information processing networks.


If we view Paris from the level of cars, then roads don’t seem to be self-aware. If we view the large-scale structure of the universe from the vantage point of supercomputer simulations computed on Earth, it doesn’t seem self-aware. If we were able to view a neural structure from the point of view of electrons it probably wouldn’t seem self aware to them either, just a kind of electrical network.

However, when we use our own neural structure to introspect, then awareness is self-evident. It’s really a question of which way you are looking. If the universe looked inward, then it presumably would be self-evident that it is self-aware, including all its in-formation including suns, planets, cities, roads, people, neurons, electrons, etc.

The amazing thing is we experience this same self-awareness at our level. We are a microcosm of larger wholes and have microcosms within. Perhaps cells are also self-aware, coordinating the activities at their tiny scale. The organism of which they are a part wouldn’t seem to be self-aware to them at all. Talk about all that would seem like mere philosophy.


This is yet another example of the Body—House—Cosmos homology. The human built environment accessed by roads, our “House,” is a macrocosm of the neurons in our Body, and the large-scale Cosmos is a macrocosm of our House. It is the same form, harmonizing and coordinating information at vastly different scales.

The universe itself looks like it might literally be “the mind of God,” a self-aware matrix in the process of creating complex in-formation. Awareness is not rare, but the ground of being. There has only ever been, is, or ever will be awareness being aware of itself.

That said, our limited form of consciousness might be rare and in a way, precious. We occupy the privileged position of being right in the middle of it all.


However, our awareness doesn’t require human minds anymore than the Sun requires a candle for illumination.


Everything is sacred, everything is precious.


6 Visionary Artists and Writers Into Psychedelics & Mysticism

Art, mysticism and psychedelics are deeply interwoven forces—here’s six writers and artists that have combined all three.

Here’s six artists and writers who have tapped altered states of consciousness, whether through mysticism or chemical methods—which has directly contributed to the profundity and impact of their work.

W. B. Yeats

1. W. B. Yeats
William Butler Yeats was a noble laureate, Irish nationalist and public figure—and by all accounts one of the finest writers of his generation. He was also a Hermetic magician. Yeats’ pursuit of esoteric and mystical studies was as devout as his pursuit of literature. The two often intertwined, with Yeats often using symbols from Celtic mythology and Rosicrucianism in his writings. Yeats was also a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, a secret society dedicated to the study of ritual magic and mysticism. All of his magical work informed his poetry. Later in his life, he would experiment with spiritualism and communicating with the dead. Reportedly, his wife Georgie Hyde Lees would “channel the spirits” in order to bring Yeats “metaphors for poetry.” As Yeats said himself, “The mystical life is the center of all that I do and all that I think and all that I write.” (Check out Yeats’ best work here.)

William Blake

2. William Blake
William Blake is one of those artists who, like so many others, is far less known than those he has influenced. He’s probably one of the least read poets of the English Romantic movement, and his paintings do not have a detailed history of commentary and appreciation—but his art, ideas and visions have influenced countless artists, from Allen Ginsberg to Alan Moore to Nick Drake. And when I say visions, I don’t just mean in the sense that he had forward looking ideas. I mean literal, ecstatic, transcendent visions of a higher spiritual reality. Blake was a committed Christian his entire life, and saw visions of God, angels and spirits from the age of four. His Christianity, however, was not the dogmatic, orthodox faith of the time. It was visionary, mystical and free. He wrote in his poem, “The Garden of Love” of”‘men in black gowns/walking their rounds/and binding with briars/my joys and desires.” He saw ecstasy, joy and rapture as natural elements of the human connection with God, and thought the stifling, institutional church was preventing this natural contact with the divine. Prophetic vision was a regular feature of both his powerful poetry and his symbolically resonant painting. Blake was deeply interested in the Gnostics, the early Christian mystical sect, and much of his work is influenced by Gnostic ideas that have continued to influence generations of esotericists, writers, artists and thinkers. (Check out Blake’s incredible illuminated poetry here.)

Aldous Huxley

3. Aldous Huxley
Aldous Huxley is one of the most well known intellectuals and writers of the past century. His dystopian novel Brave New World, so often mentioned in the same breath as that other dystopian heavyweight—Orwell’s 1984continues to influence social critics with its sharp, clever and increasingly relevant portrayal of a society where the masses are manipulated by mass-produced entertainment and chemicals. Less well known, however, are his other books, including The Doors of Perception and Island, which both explore the influence that psychedelics and transcendent states can have on consciousness and on society more broadly. The Doors of Perception is a must-read for anyone interested in consciousness alteration. Huxley’s little book adeptly chronicles his first experience with mescaline, the psychedelic drug produced by the San Pedro cactus, as well as offering a concise and insightful history of some Eastern and Western mystical attitudes, religious practices and traditions. Island is sort of the utopian counterpart to Brave New World’s dystopia. It concerns a strange island where all the people live harmonious lives connected by the oneness of consciousness created by a natural psychedelic referred to as Moksha Medicine. Huxley clearly saw altered states as methods of intellectual, artistic and social discovery, and was so dedicated to this goal of transcendence that he’s reported to have had his wife dose him with LSD as he died.  (Check out Huxley’s Doors of Perception here.)

Herman Hesse

4. Herman Hesse
Few writers can be said to have brought Eastern ideas and traditions to the Western World more effectively than Herman Hesse. Hesse was an early 20th century German writer whose novel Siddhartha, which tells the story of a man named after the Buddha who goes on a quest for enlightenment. The book proved popular in Germany at the time, but it found its real wings while inspiring much of the 1960s counterculture, including figures such as Ken Kesey, and introducing a generation of Americans to Eastern mysticism and the idea of a journey to transcendence—with Hesse’s Steppenwolf providing similar inspiration. But Eastern religious tradition was not the only kind of mystical, transcendental knowledge that influenced Hesse. The works of Swiss psychoanalyst Carl Jung were also important to Hesse. Jung’s depth psychology includes many profoundly mystical elements, and Jung himself was fascinated by the mystic and the occult activities of man, seeing them as surfacings of the power of the unconscious mind. Jung’s influence can be seen in much of Hesse’s early work, especially his novel Demian, which includes Jungian themes such as psychological archetypes and the unconscious mind. (Check out Herman Hesse’s books here.)

Allen Ginsberg

5. Allen Ginsberg
Reading Allen Ginsberg’s seminal poem Howl was a transformative for me, as it is for so many other young people on their journey toward greater spiritual awareness and understanding of consciousness. Ginsberg, arch-poet of the legendary American Beat movement, is probably once of the most influential psychedelic and transcendent artists of all time. His influences were wide and varied, and he was fascinated by religious tradition and spiritual and esoteric movements that had reached for enlightenment. While much of his work was touched with the “peyote solidities of halls” that represented the transcendent experience of psychedelics, all of his psychedelic experiences were filtered through a deep and abiding love of other visionary artists, especially Blake and Yeats, and the esoteric religious traditions he found himself drawn to. The Jewish Ginsberg was fascinated by the Jewish mystical tradition of Kabbalah, and would regularly insert references to it in his writing. He studied this tradition extensively, and often synthesized it with Eastern mystical beliefs, including elements of Buddhism and Hinduism. Indeed, it can argued that it was Allen’s fascination with esotericism, the occult and religion that gave the 1960s counterculture its spiritual dimension. Ginsberg, through his engagement with visionary artists and mystical traditions, managed to define the spirituality of a whole youth culture, with many of the New Age ideas that emerged from the time bearing Ginsberg’s distinctive mystical and syncretic stamp.

Alex Grey

6. Alex Grey
To transport things to more modern times, one of the most well-known artists currently exploring mysticism and altered states of consciousness is Alex Grey. Grey is a self-described “visionary painter” who is both renowned for his paintings, which are inspired by psychedelic visions, and also a leading figure in organizations such as the Centre for Cognitive Liberty and Ethics and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). Grey tirelessly advocates for a greater degree of understanding and less prejudice surrounding the free exploration of personal consciousness through psychedelics and entheogens. Grey attempts to express the profundity and beauty of these transcendent states through his art, which is colorful, bold and visionary, utilizing sacred symbols and gorgeous fractals to recreate and promote the experience of altered states. (Check out Alex Grey’s incredible artwork here.)
