The Pope Is Going After The GOP And The Top 1% Without Mercy, And They’re Freaking Out About It

images (4)Dear Friends,
this is from July 15th, so not totally fresh but never less – changes are coming in all types of power institutions – why not initiated by the catholic church. We will see if the GOP really see the need to take notice of his speech. It will be interesting to see if his words also apply to the wealth of the church and if he is planing on any changes in his own rotten system.
Is it possible he is one of the people, who will make significant changes in this world?
Can the church once again raise to a trusted and trustworthy place of worship and sanctuary for the people of this world?
Or is it time humanity replaces religion with connection, belief with sensory awareness and manifested churches with an inner altar of light?? That’s what my mind wonders. How do you feel?

Love and blessings – what ever your belief! May you be guided!

Pope Francis dealt a serious blow to the religious right who still tout trickle down economics on Thursday night.  The pope gave a scorching  sermon denouncing Capitalism and had very strong words for those who stand behind it.  Calling the “unfettered pursuit of money the dung of the devil”  He makes himself VERY clear about how he feels.  Pope Francis wrote:

“Some people continue to defend trickle-down theories which assume that economic growth, encouraged by a free market, will inevitably succeed in bringing about greater justice and inclusiveness in the world. This opinion, which has never been confirmed by facts, expresses a crude and naive trust in those wielding economic power and in the sacralized workings of the prevailing economic system.”

The Pope has drawn the line in the sand and the “free Market” groupies will now need to decide, will they side with money and disregard the Supreme Being, or will denounce the ‘trickle Down’ economics?
We are excited to see where this leads many 2016 GOP hopefuls.  Free Market and trickle down is an old staple in the Right’s bag.  Donald Trump is the living, walking, bloviating example of greed. Will one of the many GOP hopefuls latch onto this and use it to help bring the base away from Trump?  Or will they go with the GOP ol’ favorite and double-down?
images (2)While Pope Francis’ view of money may seem unconventional to the GOP message,  it’s as old as the Bible.  A person just  has to read the Bible and they can understand that greed and power were things that were detested by Jesus and a main focus of message.  “Help the poor, feed the poor, love the poor”, not “let the free market sort out the problems”.
While it is fun to watch the Republicans tie themselves into knots trying to justify greed and still preach about Jesus, this recent quote from the Pope will only make it more of a spectacle as the race progresses. I think we are all curious to see how the right can defend its greed and still court the religious voting base.
Who will win in this Clash of the Titans between sense and cents?  Stay tuned.

When Two Suns Rise : Sirius and the Planetary New Year

Two Suns

Dear Friends,
it is such an amazing and blessed time we are living in! This month of July is truly over-floating in its abundance of supportive constellations in the stars. Time to breath deeply, once again allow the energies to take over and guide us into a more refined and higher vibrating level of existence.
Another month to grab your chances and embody more and more of your pure light, so it may lead to spiritually guided activism! AHO!

Blessings and highest divine support to you!
Edith

The end of July is celebrated as the Planetary New Year because many of the ancient Time Keeper races on the Earth recognized this as the moment when an important New Cycle of Evolutionary Time was initiated. This period was also associated with what was known as the “Lion’s Gate”, the historical moment when the constellation of Leo aligned with the Pyramid complex at Giza. But you might ask, why is that important to me in the year 2015?
This is because the Planetary New Year celebrates the moment when the Blue Star Sirius rises in the morning sky at the same time and in nearby location to our Sun. It is the time when Earth has Two visible “suns” in the sky. The one sun is Golden, and the other is Blue in Frequency. This conjunction of Stars celebrates the long connection between Earth, and its Sun, and the Star System of Sirius.
In Ancient Egypt, in the post Atlantean civilization that sprang up on the banks of the Nile, the heliacal rising of Sirius, as it is known, also marked the time when the Nile River rose, due to rains in Central Africa, and flooded the plains of Egypt so that crops could be grown. The rising of the waters signified the return of Abundance and Blessings to the land, and this was also associated with Sirius and it’s helical rising in the East.
Sirius has long been a guiding light and force in the Evolution of the Earth. There were many powerful Star Teachers that came to the Earth to assist Humanity, and they were believed to be “gods”. These teachers included the Beings known as Isis and Osiris, who brought the arts of agriculture and learning to the peoples of Ancient Egypt to assist them to reconstruct their world after the trauma of the Atlantean catastrophe. And now,at this time, we are told that the Sirian Master Teachers are returning to our world to assist us with aligning our frequencies with the incoming Diamond Light that is raising the frequency of our Planet and of Humanity.

imagesThe Gold Sun and the Blue Sun

As Master teachers, the Sirians brought information to the Ancient Egyptians that helped them to remember who they were and where they were going. They taught them the principles of Ascension, and these were recorded in papyrus texts and on pyramid and temple walls. They reminded us all that our bodies are from the Earth but our Souls are from the Stars.
In recent years, they have also reminded us that everything is energy and frequency, and that ascending or raising our consciousness means that we can align ourselves with the frequencies that are coming from the Cosmic Heart and the Galactic Center ,and that are raising the frequency of our Light Bodies and our Physical bodies and DNA.
It was the Sirians who first taught us about the “Christ Consciousness” that was embodied in the Golden Light of the Sun. The Gold Frequency was Divine Light and it carried the energy of Divine Love and Compassion. As Humanity opened themselves to receive more of the transmissions of the Divine Light and more of the Light Codes that would elevate consciousness, they embraced the Gold Light and activated the Light Body and Multi-dimensional consciousness. The first Sirian Avatars of the Christ Consciousness were Isis and her partner Osiris, who brought the Golden Light to Egypt. The second Sirian Avatars were Yeshua, known as Jesus, and his partner, Mary Magdalene. Together they embodied the Divine Masculine and Feminine frequencies of the Gold Frequency of the Christ Consciousness.

downloadThe Blue Sun was Sirius itself, and it carried the Blue Frequency of that Star System also known as the “Blue Star”. This deep Blue Light carried the Codes of an advanced race of Light Beings who were in the service of the Divine Plan and the Evolution of the Galaxy and the Earth. The rising of the Blue Sun indicated another cycle of Light, Love and Support from the Sirian Master Teachers on the Path of Evolution. Following this event, those on the Earth could expect great blessings and abundance in their lives.
You might wonder what happened? Why was this teaching lost and why is it only now being recovered as we move into the Ascension process? Well, in the Ancient Egyptian world the Sacred duties of the Master Teachers was disrupted by a corrupt priesthood that had an agenda of control mostly through the manipulation of sexual energies. Since this world is a free will zone, Humanity was left to carry on its path and the Sirian Master Teachers withdrew from Egypt. The arrrival of Yeshua and Mary Magdalene represented another opportunity to anchor and ground the Golden Frequency. Initially this was achieved, after the death of Yeshua, by Mary Magdalene, who carried the teachings to France and into Europe. But again, a corrupt priesthood arose that ended the line of Mary Magdalene in the 12th Century with the Albigensian Crusade.
Now, in 2015, we are being given the chance to live the process of integrating the Gold Frequency in the process of Ascension. And, as the Blue Sun rises in the morning sky, we are reminded that waves of Love and Blessings are pouring out to us from the Sun, from Sirius, from the Great Central Sun at the Center of the Galaxy, and from the Cosmic Sun or Heart. The Blue Sun represents the Love and Support of advanced beings of Light who have incarnated on Earth or who have guided consciousness in other ways in order to achieve this moment of deep change when the Earth is ready to become a Body of Light and a Multi-dimensional Blue and Gold Star.

images (1)The Lion’s Gate

After the Planetary New Year on the 26th of July, there is a powerful Portal or Vortex that opens which allows these new Light Codes to flood into the Earth grids.  The constellation of Leo no longer aligns with the rising Sun as time has passed. But, the energy of the Lion is what is important at this vortex.
The Lion is the Frequency Keeper of Africa, and of course Egypt is part of Africa. The Spirit Keeper of the Portal is the Spirit Animal that guards the integrity of the African continent. The Lion also represents  Spiritual Power, and Yeshua/Jesus was known as the “Lion of Judah”, as the representative of the Sirian avatar line on Earth.
So, the “Lion’s Gate” is that moment when this portal opens to allow new Codes and new Information that will be the template for the year ahead. The Royal Lion stands guard over the New Timeline. In Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, the Gate was represented by two Lions who faced each other. They were known as the Lions of Yesterday and Tomorrow, and of course, it was “today” that came pouring through the gate. The Infinite “now” of present time that can be experienced as flow and creativity and blessings. The Lion’s Gate opens on the 26th of July, reaches its climax on the 8th of August, and closes on the 12th of August.
So it is, at this time, that there are many endings and new beginnings that go with the torrents of Light that come through the Lion’s Gate. Do not be sad or upset if these are intense times, they are meant to be. The power of new blessings is washing away what is no longer needed so that the new can be rooted and blessings result. In the Ancient Egyptian world this was clearly visible as the river flooded washing away the last of last years crops and depositing the rich red silt that would be the bed for the new seasons crops that would nourish the people and the land. In our time, the manifestation may not be so obvious, but we are going through the same intense process of ending and new beginnings for a richer and more abundant cycle ahead.

leadsiriAscension and the Master Teachers

Now, as we are in this wonderful process of the Ascension of our consciousness to higher frequencies, we are once again being aided and assisted by the Sirian Master Teachers. But, this time, we are not in a relationship of “gods” and “subjects”. We are ascnding into our own power, and the Master Teachers are seen as guides and helpers, rather than “gods”.
As we recognize the Divine Flame within ourselves and as we embody the Higher Frequencies, including the Gold, Blue and Diamond Frequencies, we understand that Earth has “graduated” to a new level where the Sirian Master Teachers can be consulted as “Star Family” and “Star Elders”, but that it is we ourselves who must drive our own Evolution through our Intentions and our Choices.
The Master Teachers are here to hold “Master Classes”, to remind us who we are and to help us to step into our power, but we must be the ones who embody the Crystalline Rainbow  Frequencies of the New Earth.
This time of the Planetary New Year and the Lion’s Gate is an ideal time to embrace this truth and step into our Multi-dimensional Light and Power as Ascended Humans, as New Earth Souls who embody all the Higher Frequencies of Light that were gifted to us by the Star Teachers and Avatars to advance our Spiritual and Physical Evolution on Earth.
If you would like to know more about what is happening and join with a Planetary Group of people who will be doing the “Journey” of the New Earth Soul and the Lion’s Gate together, we invite you to join our “New Earth Soul” online Webinars. http://www.starchildglobal.com/store/global-webinar-room/the-new-earth-soul/

Psilocybin Can Help Us Die Better Deaths — Film Review

3502172867by Monica Thunder on MARCH 11, 2015
When we think about psilocybin or LSD, its easy to jump to an image of new-agey twenty-somethings gazing in wonder at a tree trunk or a moldy piece of bread. But with A New Understanding: The Science of Psilocybin — a recent documentary set to be released next month — we get a glimpse of the enormous medical potential these substances have to offer.
Filmmaker Robert J. Barnhart is a board member at the Heffter Research Institute — an organization working to forward research on the potential uses of psychedelics in healthcare. He took his experience and teamed up with documentary producer-filmmaker Roz Dauber and producer-filmmaker Brady Dial to create A New Understanding.Narrated by Reset’s founder Amber Lyon, the film takes a comprehensive look at the past and present of psilocybin, which was classified as Schedule I substance (a category reserved for the most highly restricted substances) by Congress in the late 1960s. It strings together the stories of people who participated in psilocybin-assisted therapy studies, with talking head shots of psychedelic research psychologists and the occasional fluorescent-hued reenactment of something trippy an interviewee saw during a psilocybin session.

psy1The scientists and psychologists interviewed in the film are working, via various studies, to learn whether psilocybin can mitigate the psychological suffering of terminally ill cancer patients whose days are numbered. The studies themselves have very little money and depend on volunteer patients who are willing to participate.

The film walks us through several different psilocybin studies that have taken place at different universities. It moves fluidly between the “hard science” explanations of neuroscience and the “softer” realm of psychology. In one shot, we’ll have a stiff-looking academic holding up MRI scans and discussing the location of serotonin 2A receptors in the brain. Then, the film will cut breezily to a psychologist wearing a kaleidoscopic green tie, talking about the sense of sacredness imparted to us by psychedelic experiences. In one segment, a researcher holds up a model of the human brain and explains how the cortex responds to psilocybin. In another, a study volunteer tells us she ran into Jesus in the middle of a parade during her psilocybin dosing session.

This may be just what it takes to successfully pull off this kind of documentary: scientific integrity combined with the open-mindedness necessary to deeply explore consciousness.
Annie, featured in the film, was one of 12 terminally-ill volunteers in a study conducted at UCLA. Before she began participating in the psilocybin study, she described herself as anxious and terrified. She said she was so worried about the painful process of dying that she lost her spirituality, and became incredibly irritable towards her husband. It made life difficult for both of them.
“I had lost my faith because of anxiety,” she said during the film,  “And I was just terrified. I was so anxious, it was hard to think about anything else.”

descargaDuring the dosing sessions, researchers dosed her with a moderate amount of psilocybin. She experienced the effects of the drug in a controlled, comfortable livingroom-like environment, where she was monitored and attended by aids. She was observed before and after the study.
After her experience with psilocybin, Annie’s husband said, “Someone had put on a lightbulb in Annie’s head. She was literally glowing.”
Annie said she felt wonderful after the session. She got back in touch with her spirituality, and managed to cultivate happiness in her life despite her approaching death.
“It’s incredibly helpful,” she said during the film. “It’s more helpful than any other treatment I’ve ever had.”

Researchers at NYU conducted a similar study, working with terminally-ill volunteers to see if psilocybin could help them cope psychologically with a terminal illness.
“The greatest source of distress at the end of life is the psychological, spiritual, existential despair that people go through, and the lack of meaning,” said Anthony Bossis, co-principal investigator of the NYU study, during an interview with the filmmakers. “And it is through the search for meaning — and meaning is cultivated in some way — that people die a better death.”
Matt, a terminally ill man who suffered from systemic anal cancer, volunteered in the NYU study. He said he was probably too sick to travel all the way to New York to participate, but it had been well worth it to him.

images (1)Like Annie, the filmmakers interviewed him extensively about his experience with psilocybin.
“Eight… nine hours. It was very intense,” he said in the film, speaking of his psilocybin dosing. “Even if you do have an expectation going into a study like this, something you will get from it, you’re bound to get so much more in ways that you can’t even imagine now, sitting here. The benefit will be even beyond what you can think of, quite frankly.”
Matt said the psilocybin dosing sessions helped him cope with the fact that he didn’t have enough time to fix his relationship with his parents before he died.

“I wanted to die unburdened of anger and angst,” he said.

All of the studies came away with positive results — the researchers reported that their subjects had less anxiety, better relationships, felt less depressed, and were generally better disposed to engage with deep, existential questions about life, love, death, regret, and loss.
Aside from the principal investigator of the NYU study, Stephen Ross, mentioning that sometimes frightening experiences during dosing sessions can have an adverse psychological effect, the film doesn’t hit on any potential negative outcomes of the treatment. In the studies discussed during the film, there were only positive results.

This probably speaks to the mindset of the volunteers — they not only were open to the idea of the treatment, but also went out of their way to participate. Matt, for example, travelled despite severe physical discomfort from his illness to receive treatment. This kind of willingness doubtless contributed to the volunteers having a positive experience.
As of now, there is very little funding available to psilocybin research.

“Right now, the studies are all privately funded,” Ross said. “Not a single person gets paid. In many ways, it’s a labor of love.”
Annie and Matt felt this love throughout the remainder of their lives.

“I believe this study has helped open me up to learn more and accept more as opposed to wondering how cancer was going to affect me tomorrow, where it was going to affect me tomorrow,” Matt said. “I feel like I can die now with peace in my heart.”

Stephen Ross, will be teaching at The Art of Dying Conference taking place from April 24-April 26. The film will be screening at The Alamo Theatre in Austin, Texas on Tuesday April 14. There will be “to be announced” screenings through early Autumn, then the filmwill be available for rental and download over selected Internet sites and outlets. More information is available on the film’s website.

The Anointed One: Did Jesus Perform His Miracles with Cannabis Oil?

“Jesus Healing the Blind”  from 12th Century Basilica Catedrale di Santa Maria Nouva di Monreale in Sicily.

Last month the Salt Lake City Tribune ran a story titled “Families Migrating to Colorado for a Medical Marijuana Miracle.” It profiled just a few of the hundreds of children and parents currently uprooting their lives and flocking to the Rocky Mountain State in search of a non-psychoactive cannabis medicine that’s shown promise in treating serious pediatric ailments, even when all other possible treatments have proven futile.
“You’re completely re-establishing your whole life,” one father of a two-year old epilepsy sufferer explained of his family’s recent decision to relocate from Tennessee. “We don’t have a support system. We don’t have friends. We had to find a new church.”

“We can’t leave the state with [cannabis] or it would be a federal offense,” his wife added. “But we just felt like if we knew something was out there that might work and we didn’t try it we’d be doing the ‘what if’s’ our whole life.”

Tales of “miraculous” healing through the use of highly-concentrated cannabis oil have been circulating within the global marijuana community for almost ten years, but they only broke into the popular consciousness this August, when Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent, offered millions of viewers a painful apology for previously dismissing mounting evidence in favor of medical cannabis, describing himself as having been “systematically misled” on the subject.

descargaThen Dr. Gupta introduced the world to six-year-old Charlotte Figi from Colorado Springs, Colorado, who used to suffer 300 gran mal seizures per week, even after cycling through every anti-seizure medicine in the pharmacopeia and enduring a series of painful procedures that left her unable to walk, talk or eat. Those seizures started when Charlotte was just three months old, and yet in all that time, not one medical professional ever so much as mentioned cannabis. Her parents only learned the herb might help treat Dravet’s—the rare, intractable form of epilepsy tormenting their child—by watching a video on Youtube, and even then only decided to try it after all else failed.

The first time they gave their daughter a dose of wholly plant-derived non-psychoactive high-CBD cannabis oil, her seizures ceased for seven straight days—a completely astonishing response. She’s now down from more than 1,200 major seizures per month to just two or three mild ones. Towards the end of the CNN segment, as Charlotte happily pedaled her bicycle, her father asked, “Why were we the ones that had to go out and find this natural cure? How come our doctors didn’t know about this?”

SCATTERING SEEDS
Now imagine Charlotte Figi living not in modern day Colorado, but in the Middle East, roughly 2000 years ago. Whether an object of pity, scorn, fear, or fascination, that poor young girl likely would’ve been thought to be demonically possessed—her deeply religious community would have had no concept of epilepsy as we know it today. At least until the day a stranger came to town, calling himself Jesus of Nazareth, but named by his disciples as Christ—a Greek word meaning the anointed.
Following the recipe for holy anointing oil found in the Old Testament (Exodus 30: 22-23), this healer of local renown would infuse nine pounds of a plant known in Aramaic askaneh-bosm (fragrant cane) into about six quarts of olive oil, along with essential extracts of myrrh, cinnamon, and cassia. He would then apply this unguent concoction topically to the infirm, allowing it to absorb transdermally.

According to conventional Biblical scholarship, the “250 shekels of kaneh-bosm” listed in ancient Hebrew versions of the Old Testament supposedly refers to calamus, but Chris Bennett, author of the 2001 book Sex, Drugs, and Violence in the Bible claims that this is a misconception, and likely a misdirection as well, one stemming from a perhaps willful mistake made the first time the Old Testament was translated into Greek.

Kaneh-bosm, he writes, was cannabis.

The first solid evidence of the Hebrew use of cannabis was established in 1936 by Sula Benet, a little known Polish etymologist from the Institute of Anthropological Sciences in Warsaw. The word cannabis was generally thought to be of Scythian origin, but Benet showed that it has a much earlier origin in Semitic languages like Hebrew, and that it appears several times throughout the Old Testament. Benet explained that “in the original Hebrew text of the Old Testament there are references to hemp, both as incense, which was an integral part of religious celebration, and as an intoxicant.”

Benet demonstrated that the word for cannabis is kaneh-bosm, also rendered in traditional Hebrew as kaneh or kannabus. The root kan in this construction means “reed” or “hemp”, while bosm means “aromatic”. This word appears five times in the Old Testament; in the books of Exodus, the Song of Songs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel…. and has been mistranslated as calamus, a common marsh plant with little monetary value that does not have the qualities or value ascribed to kaneh-bosm. The error occurred in the oldest Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible, the Septuagint in the third century BC, and was repeated in the many translations that followed.

While that etymogical argument in no way serves as material proof, the “aromatic reed theory” can serve as the basis for a set of assumptions. Assuming the oil described in Exodus did in fact contain high levels of cannabis, the effective dose of the plant’s medicinal compounds would certainly be potent enough to explain many of the healing miracles attributed to Jesus, as marijuana has been shown to be an effective treatment for everything from skin diseases and glaucoma to neurodegenerative conditions and multiple sclerosis. Also, while it’s highly unlikely anybody back then had herb capable of competing with the 20-25 percent THC super-chronic Cannabis Cup winners of today, there’s also no reason to believe that artful botanists of the ancient world couldn’t have bred and grown plants in the 10 percent THC range—with perhaps even higher levels of CBD than our modern hybrids—a cannabinoid profile that advocates claim is potent enough to produce a truly profound reaction when absorbed in such large amounts.

19_sMOSES THE STONED SHAMAN

Kaneh-bosm makes its first, rather auspicious appearance in the Bible as part of the story of Moses and the burning bush, when the revered Jewish prophet gets the holy anointing oil recipe direct from the Lord, along with clear instructions to anoint only the priest class—a restriction later eased to allow kings access as well.

Exodus 30:31

You shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, “This shall be a holy anointing oil to me throughout your generations. It shall not be poured on anyone’s body, nor shall you make any like it in the same proportions; it is holy, and it shall be holy to you. Whoever shall mix any like it or whoever puts any of it on a layman shall be cut off from his people.

Unfortunately for the priests and their erstwhile marijuana monopoly, however, many other competing religions and spiritual paths active at the time—including pagans and those who worshipped the Goddess Ashera—had their own far more free-flowingkaneh-bosm supply. Cannabis, after all, has been grown as a food crop since at least 6,000 BC and was well known and widely available in Moses’s time.

“There can be little doubt about a role for cannabis in Judaic religion,” according to Carl P. Ruck,  a professor of classical mythology at Boston University who studies the way psychoactive substances have influenced humanity’s spiritual development. “There is no way that so important a plant as a fiber source for textiles and nutritive oils and one so easy to grow would have gone unnoticed… the mere harvesting of it would have induced an entheogenic reaction.”

asherah_by_sami_edelstein1Which means it wasn’t so much the cannabis plant that ancient Judaic priests tried to keep to themselves, as the healing potential of high-potency anointing oil passed down to them by Moses. A prohibition they maintained by targeting for elimination anybody who dared to break God’s commandment by sharing the elixir with the masses, assuming that kaneh-bosm is cannabis.

JESUS THE REBEL
Aside from crucifixion, Jesus’s baptism is considered by many researchers the only historically certain fact about his life. The New Testament’s vivid accounts of the ceremony make it clear that the apostles considered their savior’s encounter with John the Baptist to be a pivotal and transformative event, one that marks the beginning of his public ministry.

Mark 1: 9-13

It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And straightway coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him. And there came a voice from Heaven, saying, ‘Thou Art My Beloved Son, In Whom I Am Well Pleased.’ And immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness. And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto Him.

But if water served as the catalyst for Jesus’s spiritual ascension, why does he never perform a baptism? Why take the name Christ? And why anoint his flock in oil before sending them out to anoint others, as described in Mark 6:13: They cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick and healed them.

To those who believe that Christ used cannabis oil, the answer lies in non-canonical Christian texts. The canonical texts of the New Testament, that is the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, etc, were not selected as such until around 325 years after Jesus’s death, when the Roman Catholic Church culled them from a large number of contenders in hopes of uniting all of Christendom under one banner—their own. The Church then sought out and destroyed every account that differed from their now official version of events. Allowing the very empire Jesus once virulently opposed to seize control over the practice of Christianity for a thousand year period known as the Dark Ages.

Meanwhile, any Christians who continued to promote alternate views of Jesus and his teachings were labeled heretics and brutally suppressed. Much of their scripture and dictates were thought to be lost forever as a result, until 1945, when an Egyptian peasant digging for fertilizer in a cave unearthed a dozen leather-bound codices inside a sealed jar, a treasure trove purposely buried there by scribes at a nearby monastery sometime around AD 367, when the Church first condemned the use of non-canonical texts.

Within these volumes—many of which predate the books of the New Testament—Biblical experts discovered a parallel but radically different telling of the life of Jesus, one that places the anointing ceremony squarely at the center of Christianity. So much so that these various sects were given the blanket name Gnostics (from the Greek word for “knowledge”) to highlight their shared focus on first-hand experience of the holy oil as what defines a christian, rather than second-hand faith in scripture or the priesthood.

The Gnostic tractate The Gospel of Phillip, for instance, proclaims that any person who “receives this unction…is no longer a christian but a Christ.” A transformation then compared  to the placebo act of baptism adopted by the Roman Catholic Church, in which would-be initiates “go down into the water and come up without having received anything… [Because] there is water in water, there is fire in chrism [an anointing].”

Basically, the Gnostics believed Jesus’s baptism took place, but only as a kind of cleansing ritual, in preparation for receiving holy anointing oil—the true sacrament. As Chris Bennett writes, “The surviving Gnostic descriptions of the effects of the anointing rite make it very clear that the holy oil had intense psychoactive properties that prepared the recipient for entrance into ‘unfading bliss.’”

download (1)THE SKEPTICS

Lytton John Musselman, a Professor of Botany at Old Dominion University and author of A Dictionary of Bible Plants (Cambridge 2011), says he’s familiar with the theory that keneh-bosem refers to cannabis, but remains wholly unconvinced, calling the evidence claiming marijuana to be part of the holy anointing oil “so weak I would not pursue it.” He also defends calamus as capable of producing medicinal effects on par with those described in the Bible.

“Calamus is a very important component of Ayurvedic medicine and has been shown to have efficacy,” according to Musselman. “For example, in Sri Lanka it is available in any herbal remedy shop and also universally grown in home gardens. The North American species was and is so important to Native Americans in the Northeast that land with natural populations is highly sought after.”

Like most Biblical scholars, Musselman gives little consideration to the idea that Jesus used marijuana to perform the kind of healing miracles we now see on CNN and read about in the Salt Lake City Tribune.

Understandably, for children like Charlotte Figi and their families, religion, history, politics, medicine, and the law all must take a backseat to the positive effects they are experiencing treating illness with marijuana. As Jesus said to his apostles after preaching at Lake Galilee:

Mark 4: 21-23

Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand? For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.

Remember, lamps back then were fueled with oil!!!

Secrets In Plain Sight – Macrocosmic Harmony

The best temples serve as bridges between human scale and the macrocosm. When Beverly Spicer sent me the following image, something clicked and I understood the human body, the Sphinx and the Pyramids in a new way. I’m not sure which book this black-and-white geometric analysis of Pharaoh Rameses II was scanned from—it appears to be mirrored all over the Internet.

PharaohTriangle-555

The nemes headcloth has distinctive, straight-edged folds, which imply an intersection point above the head. Nested equilateral triangles locate the pharaoh’s third eye appropriately as an all-seeing-eye in the center of the triangle (like the eye of providence on the dollar bill).

That reminds me of an image I made recently. Here is essentially what I wrote about it on Facebook:

Beauty is experienced in the world, love in the body, and truth in the mind. The eye of horus in the center symbolizes the view of any observer. The transcendentals are ontologically one and thus they are convertible: e.g., where there is truth, there is beauty and love also. The transcendentals are irreducible qualities of awareness. The circle represents the seeming boundary between your interior sensations, thoughts, and perceptions and your exterior body, mind, and world.

Transcendentalsv3-555

Just as the transcendental qualities of awareness (love, beauty, truth) are ontologically one, so too are the trinity of data types you experience. How far from your awareness are your sensations, perceptions or thoughts? Examine your experience and you will see that there is no distance.

Do the thoughts running through your mind take place in a fundamentally different place than the sensations of your body or your perceptions of the world? They are all convertible because all this data is experienced by awareness and yet we have no trouble identifying which channel the information flows through. There is a fundamental and irreducible trinity to awareness.

I now see this ontological trinity as the fountainhead of relationships such as Isis/Horus/Osiris, Mary/Jesus/Holy-Spirit, and even Neutron/Proton/Electron.

Following a hunch I wanted to see if the Sphinx’s nemes followed the same pattern. I discovered that the pattern is similar but is also subtly different. The Sphinx’s nemes doesn’t imply nested triangles but the uraeus symbolizing the pharaoh’s pineal gland is located in the center of the vesica piscis as indicated by the crossed red lines. Incidentally, I described how to draw this image step-by-step in the latest installment of my Photoshop User Magazine column, Beyond Photoshop.

SphinxGeometry555-detail

Zooming out, the G2 pyramid also appears to fit the pattern.

SphinxGeometry555

It clicked for me when I realized that the geometric template for the Sphinx is the same as the geometric template for the Great Pyramid that I published in my book Quantification. The edge of the inscribed equilateral triangle measures 555.5 feet in the Great Pyramid.

GPGeometry555

In this way the House of the Temple (it was never a tomb) is a macrocosm of the Body carved on the Sphinx. Zooming out once again, the Engraved Hourglass Nebula is a macrocosm of that House. As above, so below.

Body-House-Cosmos-555

The above image wonderfully illustrates Mircea Eliade’s homology, Body—House—Cosmos, from his book “The Sacred and the Profane” (1959).

A big synchronicity for me is that I learned about this three-level holographic homology not from reading Eliade but from reading Beverly Spicer’s excellent book and PhD thesis from the School of Architecture at the University of Texas called, “The Ka’bah: Rhythms of Culture, Faith and Physiology,” which she was kind enough to send me. Remember Beverly was the person who sent me the black-and-white Rameses II image? That whole sequence of events was quite illuminating!

Speaking of illumination, did you know that the human eye is most sensitive to a wavelength of 555 nanometers, which forms the center point of our visual perception? At other frequencies, more radiant intensity is required to achieve the same luminous intensity.

See how the colors are strongest in the middle of the color ramp and fade away as they approach the infrared and ultraviolet ends of the spectrum? 555 nm marks the midpoint.

555 Nanometers

The peak luminous intensity of sunlight also has a wavelength of 555 nanometers. This should be no surprise because our eyes evolved, or perhaps were designed to view the light of our particular Sun. The beauty of repeating 5’s harmonizing our visual perception, 5 symbolizing life, is not lost on me.

After reading a stimulating article Joe Dubs linked on Facebook entitled, “The Pythagorean Relationship Between Pi, e, and Phi” by Peter Felicetti, I realized I already knew the content, but I hadn’t considered the following geometry algebraically before. One can arrange Phi, Pi and e as an almost perfect Pythagorean triangle, but there is a tiny gap that I labeled “The Mystery” at the end of my article on Graham Hancock’s site.

This mystery is drawn to scale

When I saw it algebraically, a few more puzzle pieces fit together and it is no longer a mystery to me but a harmonious work of rational design from a very high level.

Tech note: I realize that some of my detailed graphics might be hard to see. I recommend pressing Command+ on the Mac or Ctrl+ on Windows several times to enlarge the content displayed in your browser. Use Command/Ctrl- to make it smaller later on.

The Quadrivium

The same gap that we hear between twelve just perfect fifths and seven octaves (known as the Cycle of Fifths or the Pythagorean comma), the relationship of transcendental constants arranged in a Pythagorean triangle, and the orbital mechanics of our planet are all related because we are living in a mathematical construct. This was known long ago.

“All is number.” -Pythagoras

The above image expresses the quadrivium: number, geometry, music, and astronomy. In other words, number in itself, number in space, number in time, and number in spacetime.

I knew the Solar Year also factors in the Earth’s equatorial circumference—the following equation was published by John Michell and Robin Heath in The Lost Science of Measuring the Earth. I made this illustration commemorating this important relationship, one that essentially defines the foot.

EarthEquator-555

Speaking of Michell and Heath, they were the authors who deciphered the 5:12:13 triangle and its connection with the lunar cycle. When I was researching extending the Pythagorean theorem into three dimensions, I came across a diagram connecting the 5:12:13 and 3:4:5 triangles. That, and studying Gary Osborn’s work, inspired me to put together this image showing how dynamics related to the Earth, Moon and Sun emerge from something as fundamental to geometry as the first two Pythagorean triples.

Number in space and spacetime

Earth’s orbital circumference has certain clear resonances with our measurement systems.

Earth'sOrbitalCircumferencev2555

Bringing together what I wrote about in Cubits, in my book Taking Measure: Explorations in Number, Architecture and Consciousness, and from my recent experience participating in Graham Hancock’s forums when I was author of the month, these pieces now fit together with greater clarity.

Circumferences

Michael Kuser wrote something on my wall that inspired the following image. The first part shows the combined diagonals of the cubes bounding Earth and Moon compared to their average distance from the Sun are proportioned as the foot is to the mile (99.3%).
Lawrence Edlund discovered that the average distance of the Earth to the Sun compared to the distance light travels in one revolution of the Earth around the Sun are proportioned as the inch is to the mile (99.9%).
I put two and two together and graphically show how our units of measure resonate with our local macrocosm.

Earth-Moon-Cubes-555

In “Rotations” you see more proof that our system is a product of base-10 design. The Moon’s orbital period with respect to the fixed stars is 27.3 Earth days. Earth actually rotates 366.3 times per year relative to the stars because the orbital motion of the Earth around the Sun causes roughly one additional rotation of the planet on its own axis. Here is what Knight and Butler had to say about this phenomenon in Before the Pyramids (p240), where they describe how the megalithic system is based on the division of a circle into 366 units:

“In a solar year the Sun rises 365 times but, during the same time, a star will have risen 366 times. It sounds odd but it’s true. Each day according to the rising of a star (a sidereal day), is 23 hours 56 minutes 4 seconds in length, whereas a mean solar day is 24 hours in length. That leaves a discrepancy of 236 seconds, which over the course of a year amounts to another 24 hours. It is part of the clockwork mechanism of our solar system that there are different sorts of years, dependent on what one is observing. Our megalithic and pre-megalithic ancestors in Britain focused on the number of times a star rose in a year, and the result was 366 times [366.3 with one more digit of accuracy].”

Rotations

Tonight I realized that the product of these rotations, 27.3 x 366.3 = 9999.99. What are the chances? I can’t begin to calculate the astronomical odds against such a numeric symmetry if our planet and its natural satellite were formed by random processes. Note that this product is independent of units and calculated solely on number of Earth rotations relative to our Moon and Sun.

Peter Plichta’s book God’s Secret Formula: Deciphering the Riddle of the Universe and the Prime Number Code taught me that 1/27.3 ≈ 0.03663 and 1/366.3 ≈ 0.00273, which you can easily verify with a calculator.

The ratio of the polar diameter of the Earth to the polar diameter of the Moon is 3.663 and vice-versa, the reciprocal ratio is 0.273 with more than 99.9% accuracy. This means the Earth and Moon system’s rotations and sizes are related in a reciprocal mathematical relationship.

Of course this is another example of what I have called “The Mystery of 273,” in this page out of Quantification.

The Mystery of 273 (update)

Is what we call “conscious thought” incredibly rare in the grand scheme of things, relegated as it is to 2-3mm of neocortex on the surface of our brains?
We and all other organisms on this planet live in a thin biospherical shell 2-3 miles thick. The Earth orbits the Sun in the sweet spot where oceans are kept liquid and the planet retains a transparent atmosphere so perfect for astronomy and our survival. A planetary magnetic field and ozone layer shields us from the charged particles continually pouring out of the Sun, along with many variables conductive to life being fortuitously fine-tuned.

Our system orbits the center of the Milky Way galaxy in another sweet spot, a circular band where products of stellar fusion such as elements heavier than helium are plentiful enough, but star formation isn’t still so active that we are bombarded out of existence. In this light, consciousness appears to be a gossamer membrane, a rare and exquisite miracle in all the cold vastness of space. This membrane/shell structure is another Body—House—Cosmos homology if you think about it.

Membranesv2-555

The following comparison highlights another possibility. The neuronal structures within our brains, roads (which evolved organically around Paris rather than through city planning as in much of North America), and the large-scale structure of the universe (simulated on the Max Planck supercomputer) all exhibit the same specific branching, filamentous pattern. Come to think of it, so too do mushroom mycelial mats, and maps of the entire Internet. What these disparate phenomena have in common is that they are all information processing networks.

Information

If we view Paris from the level of cars, then roads don’t seem to be self-aware. If we view the large-scale structure of the universe from the vantage point of supercomputer simulations computed on Earth, it doesn’t seem self-aware. If we were able to view a neural structure from the point of view of electrons it probably wouldn’t seem self aware to them either, just a kind of electrical network.

However, when we use our own neural structure to introspect, then awareness is self-evident. It’s really a question of which way you are looking. If the universe looked inward, then it presumably would be self-evident that it is self-aware, including all its in-formation including suns, planets, cities, roads, people, neurons, electrons, etc.

The amazing thing is we experience this same self-awareness at our level. We are a microcosm of larger wholes and have microcosms within. Perhaps cells are also self-aware, coordinating the activities at their tiny scale. The organism of which they are a part wouldn’t seem to be self-aware to them at all. Talk about all that would seem like mere philosophy.

Post-Metaphysicsv2-555

This is yet another example of the Body—House—Cosmos homology. The human built environment accessed by roads, our “House,” is a macrocosm of the neurons in our Body, and the large-scale Cosmos is a macrocosm of our House. It is the same form, harmonizing and coordinating information at vastly different scales.

The universe itself looks like it might literally be “the mind of God,” a self-aware matrix in the process of creating complex in-formation. Awareness is not rare, but the ground of being. There has only ever been, is, or ever will be awareness being aware of itself.

That said, our limited form of consciousness might be rare and in a way, precious. We occupy the privileged position of being right in the middle of it all.

ScalingLaw555

However, our awareness doesn’t require human minds anymore than the Sun requires a candle for illumination.

Everything is sacred, everything is precious.

Unconditional Self-love and the Inner Child

If the development of personal power is the first golden key to psychological and spiritual health, then unconditional self-love is most definitely the second golden key.
Personal power and self-love are the building blocks of a healthy self concept and self image. The most important relationship in a person’s life is his relationship to himself. If we are wrong with ourselves, we will be wrong with all other relationships. If we are off center in ourselves, how can we be on center with others?
Self-love begins with the understanding that there are two types of love in the world. They are conditional love and unconditional love. Conditional love is egotistical love. Unconditional love is spiritual love. This type of love applies to others, but more importantly first applies to ourselves.

The first key question we each must ask ourselves is whether we love ourselves conditionally or unconditionally. Unconditional self-love is based on the understanding that we have worth and we are lovable because God created us. We are sons and daughters of God. God doesn’t make junk. Of course we have worth. If we don’t have worth then God doesn’t have worth. In other words, our worth and lovableness is a spiritual inheritance.

If you don’t believe this, then your ego steps in and says, “I have a different interpretation.” The ego says your worth and lovableness are based on meeting certain conditions. You have to have a certain kind of physical body. You have to go to college, have money, have a high paying job, be in a certain social status, be perfect, be spiritual, meditate, exercise, have a relationship, get good grades, be successful, and so on.

Now a lot of these things are very noble things to strive for and I recommend that you continue to do so. However, they have nothing to do with your self-love and self-worth.
Your self-love and self-worth come from who you are, not what you do. There are no conditions you have to meet. You can do everything in your life right or everything in your life wrong, and your worth and lovableness are the same. This cannot be emphasized more emphatically.

Self-Hugging (activerain.com)A good metaphor for understanding this is to imagine that you just had a baby. Does this baby have to do anything to have worth or value? Does it have to look a certain way? Isn’t there just an inherent value in the spark of life? Of course, your baby is of value and lovable. Don’t you continue to love that child as it grows older, even if it gets into trouble or fails the first grade spelling test?

The point I am now coming to is that there is a difference between the soul that is that child and the child’s behavior. The soul is always lovable and worthy. The behavior may not always be so. This is an extremely important discrimination to make with others and with yourself.

Taking this analogy a step farther, we are God’s children. God gave birth to us. Don’t you think He loves us as you would love your child? And don’t you think He continues to love us even though we make mistakes in the spiritual school called Earth life?
So the question is: At what age does a child lose its inherent value? We all seem to have it up to a certain age. It is quite ludicrous if you think about it. God loves us even though our behavior is often bad. Certainly He would prefer we got it together, but He loves us even if we don’t.

Another facet of self-love that has been brought out here is that we need to love ourselves as God loves us unconditionally! Jesus said, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” You will notice he didn’t say to love your neighbor and hate yourself.
You can determine where you are on your spiritual path by seeing how much you love your neighbor and how much you are loving yourself. We also need to learn to allow ourselves to feel God’s love. God’s love is like the sun. It is always shining. It is just a matter of whether we are going to give ourselves permission to receive it.

One of my favorite metaphors is that we are diamonds with mud on us. God created us so we are diamonds. Our faulty egotistical negative thinking has put mud on us. I am trying to get out the hose and wash off the illusions of faulty thinking and show you the “real you”. Your true identity is the Christ, the perfect creation of God. It is only the ego’s false, negative, pessimistic interpretation of you that makes you feel unworthy or unlovable.

images (2)Earth is a school. Our mistakes are not held against us. There are no such things as sins. There are only mistakes. Some believe that a sin is like some stain on our character that cannot be removed. This is absurd. Mistakes are positive. Did you fully hear and get that? Mistakes are positive! You don’t go out of your way to make them. But if they happen, you learn from them.

Every mistake is a blessing in disguise because there is always a golden nugget of wisdom to be learned. We learn the easy way or by the school of hard knocks. We are in this school to know ourselves and, hence, know God. God’s universe is governed by laws. There are physical laws, psychological laws and spiritual laws. We learn by making mistakes and then making adjustments.

The spiritual path up the mountain is five steps forward and four backward; seven forward then six backward. Don’t buy into the ego’s game of creating this impossible perfectionistic standard where mistakes are unacceptable. The spirit believes in striving for perfection but looks at mistakes as positive and unavoidable.

Life as a Dream

When we go to sleep at night and have a nightmare, we wake up and say to ourselves, “Boy, am I glad that was just a dream; it seemed so real while I was sleeping!” Well, that is what I am saying to you right now. Wake up from that bad dream or negative hypnosis you have been experiencing. Snap out of it!
Wake up! Let the mud fall off your diamond and see who you really are. You are the most valuable precious thing in all creation. Do you think God loves a rock or tree more than His own children who are made in His image?

Now comes the key to the whole process. Your thoughts create your reality. Your thoughts don’t create truth. They just create the reality of the people who are thinking them. In other words, if you think you are unworthy, then you are going to live in the nightmare and self created hell of your own thought creation.
You will live in your own bad dream and nightmare, even though it really isn’t true. You are what you think. The great need is to push these false unworthy and unlovable attitudes out of your mind and to start affirming the truth about yourself. By doing this you will re-record a new message into your subconscious tape recorder.

images (1)Selfish-Selfless Balance

Another aspect of self-love is what I call the selfish¬ selfless balance. This means there is a time to be selfish and there is a time to be selfless. To be selfless is to direct your energies to helping others. To be selfish is to take care of yourself. The spiritual path is the path of balance. We are not here to be martyrs. We must learn to be spiritually selfish.
Many very sincere and good spiritual people misunderstand this. I am not saying you shouldn’t help others. The greatest among you is the servant of all. I am just saying that you have to take care of yourself also. You are a part of God. You are a son or daughter of God.
Not to be spiritually selfish at times is to reject a part of God. If you are too selfless you will probably be resentful. The great lesson is that when you are selfish don’t feel guilty, and when you are selfless, give and don’t feel resentful. Be decisive in whatever decision you make.

Developing an Understanding of the Inner Child

The second major understanding in obtaining unconditional self-love deals with the understanding of the inner child. We all have a relationship to ourselves. I have called this, at times, a right relationship to self. What is this self I am talking about? Another name for this self is the inner child or inner self. In other words, we each parent ourselves.
I am suggesting that there are two ways of parenting ourselves or a real external child. There is a spiritual way of parenting or an egotistical way or parenting. The spiritual way of parenting is to be firm but loving (yin and yang balanced).

The wrong way to parent is to be too firm or too permissive and spoiling. A parent who is too firm is critical. When a parent is too critical this creates a child who is unworthy or deflated or who feels unloved. A too lenient parent creates a child who is spoiled or rebellious. A firm and loving parent creates a balanced, well adjusted child.
The first step in understanding this whole process is to look at how your parents raised you. Were they critical or firm and loving? It is very likely that you treat yourself the exact way your parents treated you. Now look at how you raised your children. And lastly look at how you are currently raising your own inner child

I want to make it clear that your inner child is a psychic reality. Learning to raise our inner child properly is one of the most important skills we can possibly learn. We will also be much better parents to our real children when we learn to parent ourselves properly.

What Do We Do If Our Parenting Skills Need Improvement?

When we are being too critical and judgmental with ourselves, what is really happening is “child abuse”. I am sure that, if you saw child abuse occurring at the market or a neighbor’s house you would step in and say something to stop it. What would you do if someone was abusing your children when they were younger? I am sure you would respond like a mother or father bear to protect your child. Well, that is what you need to start doing with your inner child.
The critical parent is like an evil baby sitter, with whom you have unwittingly left your child. Now you are returning (waking up) to reclaim your child as your own. Your child needs protection and you need to start giving your child the protection he or she needs.

What this means psychologically is that when the critical parent attitudes start whipping and beating your inner child, stop them! It doesn’t matter what you say. Put up your protective bubble and shield and say, “The buck stops here. I am not going to let my little child get beaten or abused any longer. I am going to protect him. I love my inner child and will not let my inner child continue to be hurt or beaten.”
When the over indulgent parent steps in and wants to be permissive, you do the same thing. You say, “No”. You say, “I am sick of this extremism. I don’t want to be too yin or too yang. I want balance. Get out!” You push the permissive parent thought out of your mind.

The second step after pushing the critical or permissive parent out of your mind is to affirm that you are going to be firm and loving toward yourself from now on. By continually doing this the critical or permissive parent will die from lack of attention and focus, and the firm and loving parent style will develop from attention and focus. It will take practice and constant vigilance. Just remember that if you choose to forget this, you are allowing child abuse to take place in your own mental home. Do you want to allow your inner child to be whipped and beaten or spoiled rotten?
What also must be considered here is that if improper parenting has taken place, then the inner child is going to be in need of healing just as a real child would be after being abused. The inner child who has had a critical parent is going to need a lot of extra love and nurturing. The inner child who has had a permissive spoiling parent is going to need “tough love”. A child who is acting out in real life needs to be sat on a little bit, not in a critical way but in a tough love way.

1-woman-hugging-self-lgnThe child has had more power than the parent. This needs to change. The parent is in charge, and the inner child needs to be told this. You may have to get real tough in the beginning to get the point across, just as you would with a real child. The inner child will get the message if he sees that you mean business. The inner child doesn’t really like being out of control anyway.

Your inner child desperately wants your unconditional love just as a real child does. Down deep, your inner child wants firmness and limits just as a real child does. If you are firm and loving then your inner and outer child will develop and internalize this to develop firmness, self control, personal power, and self-love within themselves.

Dialoguing

A very valuable and helpful tool in developing the proper relationships and psycho dynamics here is to dialogue with these different parts in your journal. Talk to your inner child and see how they are feeling. Then let the inner child talk back as you imagine they would respond. Dialogue with the critical and with the permissive parent, then with the firm and loving parent. Get more deeply in touch with how these dynamics are operating within you. You might even add your Higher Self into the dialogue and see what it has to add to the whole process.

There is a very interesting point about that last suggestion. The Huna teachings from Hawaii call the Higher Self the “utterly trustworthy parental self. I find that fascinating. In other words, we need to learn to parent ourselves as our Higher Selves parent us. Don’t our Higher Selves parent us with firmness and love, tough love?

1-woman-hugging-self-lgnVictory Log

This next suggestion is absolutely essential for fully stabilizing self-love and self-worth. So far we have talked about self-love on the essence level, the essence level being that we have worth and love because we are sons and daughters of God.

There is also a form level. In other words, we also need to feel good about what we are doing and creating in our lives. The critical parent spends all of its time being a perfectionist in a negative sense, looking for what we are doing wrong. In a given day you may be doing things ninety eight percent well, but the critical parent will spend the entire day focusing on the two percent you are doing wrong. This doesn’t make sense.
Proportionately you should be ninety eight percent happy that day. Is the glass of water half empty or half full? The purpose of the victory log is to look at what you are doing well, not at what you are doing poorly.

There are two steps to developing a proper victory log. The first step is to go over your entire life with a fine toothed comb and list all things that you have done well in your life. List all your fine attributes and qualities. List everything, no matter how minute. By doing this you will automatically feel good about yourself. Your perspective has changed. You are seeing things the way your Higher Self would have you see them.

The second step in the victory log is, every night before bed and every morning, add to the list and review the victories of that day and that week. By doing this you are giving yourself and your inner child strokes, “credit”, a positive reinforcement, love, psychological hugs and kisses. Tell the inner child how much you appreciate their cooperation and teamwork. You might tell your Higher Self the same thing. Together you are an unbeatable team.

What Do You Do When You Make Big Mistakes?

When you do make big mistakes, keep the critical parent out. It is okay to make observations about yourself or others. This is also called spiritual discernment or discrimination. It is called this because it is done in unconditional love. Whatever the mistake is, gain the golden nugget of wisdom from the experience and it then becomes a positive experience. If you truly learn from this “mistake” you will never have to go through a similar suffering ever again. Tell yourself that you are worthy and lovable even though you made a mistake or error in judgment. Tell yourself that mistakes are positive and unavoidable. Pick yourself up and get on with it.

A crucial part of self-love is forgiveness. You have a choice whether to subscribe to a philosophy of forgiveness or holding grudges. This applies to yourself also. Remember if you hold grudges, you are holding it against the inner child. Would you hold the same kind of grudge against your real child when he was little? If you want to be forgiven by God, don’t you think it is necessary to give the same energy back in return to your self and others?

What Happens To People Who Don’t Have Self-love?

If you don’t have unconditional self-love within yourself, then automatically you end up seeking it outside of self. Love is a survival need. Children have actually been known to die in institutions from lack of love.

The ideal is to give love to yourself and to allow yourself to receive God’s unchanging unconditional love. If you don’t do this then you end up seeking love, approval, acceptance from other people. This puts you in a compromised position. Other people become your computer programmers and the cause of your reality. Your worth is in their hands and control. Do you really want other people to hold this power and control over you? Not having self-love puts a hole in your protective bubble so that when people criticize you, you can’t protect yourself.

The ideal is to give yourself so much love, and to allow yourself to feel God’s full Love, that you go into life feeling totally powerful and totally loved before you meet another human being. You are ideally feeling full, whole and complete within yourself, and feeling your oneness with God.
You are so filled with love that you can give love to others even if they don’t love you. In essence, you want love; you don’t need love. You prefer love; you are not attached and addicted to getting love. The attitude of a more self actualized person is to form a right relationship to yourself and a right relationship to God first.

These are the two most important relationships in your life. You then can move into life as a whole, causal, masterful, independent person; a person who is in the world to give rather than needing to get, to fill an empty void within the self. This is the work of the spiritual path.

We actually have it all right now. The only problem is that we think we don’t. We live in the nightmare of self inflicted limitations that isn’t even real. We can get rid of these limitations any time we want by owning our power and taking command over our minds by the denial and affirming process. (See Self-love Affirmations and Visualization)

101Your True Self: The Causal Consciousness Self

Recognize that you have both a child and a parent self within you. It is important to realize, however, that even though everyone has to deal with these psychological dynamics, the real you is neither the parent nor the child. The real you is “consciousness” or “I” that is choosing what kind of parent and what kind of child dynamic you are creating within yourself.

The real you is the observer self, who is the controller, director, chooser and causer. The key to being the causer is the understanding of the need to be disidentified from the content of consciousness. You are not your thoughts, feelings, emotions, body, behavior, actions, personality, mistakes, successes, abilities, past, future, beliefs nor any of the content of consciousness.

You are the essence and not the form. You are the consciousness, not the creation. You can direct and control only that from which you are disidentified. That with which you, as the consciousness or “I” are identified, will be your master. In living in this world we must deal with form. This is why it is essential that you choose and cause the form of what kind of parent you are going to be to yourself.

Do a visualization, putting all the things you have thought were you (the content of consciousness) into a big metal pot that is now in the middle of your nature scene. Put everything in it until you are naked of all mental, emotional or physical form. All that is left is a center of pure awareness with nothing in it. Practice taking qualities, attitudes, feelings, beliefs, abilities, and non abilities and trying them on and then throwing them back in the pot. Practice identifying, then disidentifying. Practice being the controller, causer and creator of your life, like you would in a play or theater. Always remember what your real Self is and who and what you are.
