My Authentically Reflextion Of What Compassion Means To Me

by Edith Boyer-Telmer

Dear Friends,
the other day I received a message from the magnificent Barbara Franken, presenting the idea to me of sharing my personal understanding of what compassion means to me, and how I live my awareness. I was immediately interested in being part of this lovely new creation of hers. The attraction of expressing my way of living compassion in this world right away had its hand on me, and than I found myself realizing that „there is no simple one word answer to this question“.
Maybe because true compassion is a feeling that is build out of many layers of understanding self, and allowing this understanding to infiltrate our behavior with others. Or maybe because all simple things in life – are multidimensional in how we perceive and experience them.

From the heart I would say that in me, the feeling of compassion triggers the wish to assist others with my actions. This actions can have a range as wide as sitting silently next to a friend, in order to let him/her know that they are seen and accepted with what ever is going on; to quietly praying for the collective and beloved ones or can be standing up and speaking out for people, animals and environment – who have no voice in the current world games.
The capacity to naturally act on all of this impulses, I have gained thru years of very committed and disciplined spiritual practice, a growing understanding what self-love truly means, and an iron will to overcome all my limitations. But non of it would have been effective, if self-compassion would not have guided my eye, while looking at others.

And this self-compassion took me a long way to learn. You see when I was a child, I had a mainly absent father – out to travel all week and earn the family’s income (very stereo type haha), and my mother was a person who would work and push thru every physical, mental or emotional pain you can possibly imagine.
She did so to such an extend, that I actually thru all my childhood considered her being a very cruel person. Her individual mix of personal history, a natural B-Sides of the numerological vibration of 18/9 – which she represents, and most of all – a total refusal to grow spiritually.

One day, I was about 8years old, I watched her splitting wood in the seller. She slipped with the ax, cut deeply into her meaty knee, took quietly a deep in-breath; than simply removed the ax – put a bandage on her blood dripping knee and continued. As a little child, that was a real time horror shocker to me! And it made me scared to my bones, as for imagining what she could do to my body when in rage. An emotional state that she was not shy of expressing in physical violence. Now in her world, that is totally understandable and somehow ok. She is born in Graz, Austria, in the year 1931. She was 7 years old when the second world war in Austria started – an age where very important energetic gateways often are closing for the individual human; as we choose to identify stronger with the material world than with the spiritual realm. And there her focus already got re-directed from hopefully, happily living a child’s life, to „survival of the fittest is the rule of the game“.

So while she transitioned into a more physical body bound mindset, the world around her was dominated by aggression, forceful dominance and the loss of human life’s. As she refused over all the 85 years she has spend so far on this planet, to consciously reflect her own behavior ever, all the pattern she has build back than are based on pure survival instinct, physical fear reactions and a constant need to defend.
To allow myself the freedom of seeing this bigger picture while holding my inner peace in direct interaction with her – for me is an expression of compassion for her and for myself.

But it would not have been possible for me to extend this hand to her, if I would not have done the painful and deeply challenging inner work of self-recognizing my own harmful and abusive pattern. A work of self-acceptance for my humaneness and the mistakes I made thru life – and still make right now. Profound work of forgiveness for all the harm created on unconscious levels – which now are understood, and a constant commitment to work on my own inner confusions in respect to my own gentle heart.

I first had to create this inner sanctuary space of accepting life on planet earth, excepting my flaws, accepting the ways I am learning about myself and spirit in this world, accepting that seeing my daily life very different than the human collective on this planet does right now – is not because I am damaged or weak – but because I am whole in my heart. Spending years of cultivating my mind and my emotional body, has now widened the field of where my compassion wants to flow. My personal capacity to take more and more of this worlds brother and sister existences into consideration, when I am making an important decision about „my life“.

So on another layer you probably could also say that compassion is „the human capacity for us to develop“, if we truly desire world peace and a sustainable humane life on the blue planet. It is Native American understanding, that we are here as guardians and guides of the land and all its creatures. And I belief it is time we all together start acting on that. Time to approach life from a place of compassionate awareness for each others needs and respect for the future, our children desire to have!!Remember: „We’re all just walking each other home.” – Ram Dass
Love and Blessings!

Happiness is Home Made – Step by Step Practice Tool

hapby Edith Boyer-Telmer

Dear Friends,
statistics worldwide show that for most human beings an important task in life, is happiness. When questioned what people expect from their life, what it is they need and desire; some may talk about becoming rich, some about how many kids they want or how high they want to clime on the co-operate leader – but nearly all people claim, that they desire to live a happy life.
Now the interesting thing is, most people think that having a happy live is something that just happens to some people, and to others does not. And there is the mistake!!! When you ask people who actually experience a really content and happy life, you will find that they are doing a lot for this state of being. That just like with any other part of life, it is conscious effort – that makes their happiness flow in such an abundant manner.
And truth is, sometimes your brain does not want you to be happy. Sometimes the chemistry in our brain is not wired for happiness, right away when waking up in the morning. Sometimes we need to actively make the first step and convince our brain to a higher vibration. A little extra challenge we find in our physical system is, that guilty shame and pride activate the brain’s reward center. And feeling worries activates the limb system, which makes your brain feel a little better for a moment. This explains why it can feel so right and even rewarding for us, to get lost in negative and self-destructive thinking pattern.
Suppressing our lower emotions also doesn’t work!! Indeed it is harmful when ever we are in human interaction with others, as it creates energetic confusion. And over time such a behavior can even lead to spiritual, mental and physical illnesses.
So what to do, when you find yourself entangled in feelings of lower vibrations but truly desire to turn that it around, and create happiness for your day instead??

*) Be as Clear and Honest as possible, about your True Feelings:
That sound easy enough, but might not be. Throughout childhood we experience again and again energetic and emotional irritation about our outside world. This can lead to the internal entanglement of a particular feeling with another emotion. For example a lot of peoples immediate react to an emotionally challenging situation, is anger. But, what they actually experience are feelings of insecurity, vulnerability and emotional pain. For individually different reasons, this people choose to make anger there strongest immediate reaction. This is not wrong in itself. The problem is just that many people than get stuck in this emotion, and never actually get to the core of their true feelings.
In order to consciously create a place of happiness inside of us, we need to be aware of the reality of our emotional body. Plus as soon as you willingly recognize your feeling, you have already started the process of change.
PLEASE NOTE: Trying not to feel can less and less work in a collective society, that is daily more attuned to the higher sensory abilities of emphatic feeling!!!Emotional Spiral*)Make the Conscious Decision to Overcome what is Bothering you:
We are the creator of our lives and our emotions. What ever is going on for you today – it has to do with how you thought and acted yesterday, last week or the month before! The divine/hermetic law of CAUSE and EFFECT, never fails in its direct impact on our daily lives. So somewhere along the way you decided to say “NO’ to life. You did not like a situation you are in, and got stuck there. You repressed a strong feeling, and now it makes its way around the backdoor of guilt, shame or depression. The good thing is – the effect you created another day, can be balanced by the actions you are taking today. This is how we actively harmonize what we call KARMA.
So don’t allow yourself to wake up and stay in a relationship of victim-hood, shame or guilt with life!! Make a clear decision that you will do what it takes, to put the effort, spend the time – till you feel again, that happiness is truly your natural birthright!!!

*) Spend time in Meditation:
Monitoring our own feelings is a fundamental tool of mindful living. When ever we internally name an emotion and than externally put it in words, that changes the impact this particular emotion has on us. This changed state of emotional entanglement, creates the space for us to walk the thin line between mental death and rebirth. The moment where the old – that just a second ago had such a strong impact on you, can transform in your inner reality – while you are still experiencing the emotions of your past. Meditation has used this clarity of a consciously chosen mental death, for centuries.
Now, as you have labeled your feelings and made the conscious decision to turn the boat around already, surrender your feelings of lower vibrations to the transforming fire of meditation! Offer all feelings of grief, sadness, hurt… so they can be shifted into the higher vibration of divine happiness.

*) Get in touch with the Ascended Master of Divine Bliss:
Now, as you made all this steps of clarification – you should again feel connected enough to make a contact to the higher vibrating realms of the Ascended Masters. Master Ling is holding the frequency field of DIVINE BLISS for us, our natural state of being. He helps us embody this bliss, until it becomes the driving force of our creations and sharing with others. The only thing you need to get in touch, is to pray and feel worthy to be his divine partner in crime ;-).

PRAYER
Master Ling please unfold your gold shimmering coat of bliss and love around me.
Your radiation penetrates me now and encourages each atom inside of me,
to shine brighter and vibrate faster.

INVOCATION
I am the sources radiant electron energy.
My physical body, my mental body, my feeling body and my light body are in harmony.
I feel wrapped in a protective, radiant light garment.

That makes me victorious over every imperfection!
I stand firmly in the golden I AM light.
Bliss shines in me, around me and through me.

OH*) Actively study sense and effect of GRATITUDE:
When an hour ago you have been going through a ruff time, you might not feel ready for the state of gratitude. The good news is, already putting attention on things you are grateful for, automatically increases the positive aspects of your life. So in this case we go for “Fake it – until you make it”!
On a physical level, this is very easily explained: Gratitude literally affects your brain biologically. Gratefulness activates the brain-stem regions that produce the brain chemicals dopamine and the neurotransmitter serotonin. All antidepressants you find on the market right now, do nothing else than stimulate the same brain activities than gratitude does. Wellbutrin boosts the neurotransmitter dopamine, Prozac boosts the neurotransmitter serotonin, and so on… When we are on a path of self-mastery, we use the conscious tools of meditation, mindfulness and gratitude – instead of the quick, false solution of pharmaceutical drugs.
And guess when the moment most important to show gratefulness is, its when it looks like life knocked you down and there is not much to be grateful for!! To than remind yourself, that positive resonance is created when we show to the universe our unconditional acceptance, and to commit to a grateful attitude – is one of the most powerful tools of a true Spiritual Warrior in divine action.

Dear friends I hope this little guide helps many of you, who you are with me on a conscious path of evolution into this amazing upcoming time of the Golden Age of Aquarius. The more of us can stabilize in the feeling of Divine Bliss on Planet Earth, the sooner we will have the true manifestation of “Heaven on Earth”!! May your steps be courageous, inspired and most successful!! Coming up – How the emotional guidance spiral above, can be your best friend as an awakening tool!
Let your Light shine bright!!
Blessings & Love Edith
