9 Animal Species That Use Psychoactive Substances In The Wild

1524815_185511901649386_324707819_nDear Friends,
from day to day now, we are tapping deeper into the awareness of our shared reality with the Animal Kingdom. More and more people receive messages by the other world, transported by animal spirits. Reading this article I can’t help but ask myself if this facts might not be helpful for the human race, when we harmonize our energy field with the Animal Kingdom.
Many of the below mentioned animals are well known helper for us, in indigenous traditions identified as Power animals. I like to think, that the Dolphin in it’s  “trance-like state” is able to tap into the energetic field of humanity to charge us with the amazing qualities their lives represent to us. Same for the Jaguars – who are royal animals to many cultures, the Horse – part of Native American inheritance, the Reindeer the same
for the Nordic countries and Pics  , part of cultural believes worldwide.
So couldn’t it be possible that animals in altered states of awareness also use the same highways of information than humans do and therefor are channeling their characteristics, love and support to us, when consuming psychoactive substances!?? What Do you think? Anybody who can share such an experience?

Wishing you loving and nurturing connections with the animal world!!

For millennia, our ancestors have enjoyed, and even regarded as sacred, a variety of mind-altering substances. Cultural artifacts, visionary artwork and rituals in many indigenous cultures and past civilizations point to this fact. As Ethan Nadelmann remarked in a recent TED talk, “Our desire to alter our consciousness may be as fundamental as our desires for food, companionship, and sex.”

While Homo sapien consumption for consciousness-expanding purposes is well-documented throughout anthropology and history, ample evidence suggests we are not the only creatures who seek mind-altering plants and substances in their environment.
Indeed, plenty of our animal friends enjoy mind-altering substances: Some eat fermented fruits, psychoactive mushrooms, and opium poppies. Others rub themselves with crushed ants or angry millipedes.
The initial attraction to these substances might not be just to get high, but for nutritional or protective purposes. For example, fermenting fruits might be attractive to certain species because the process signifies the fruit is at its highest caloric value, and is also going to rot soon. In other cases, naturally occurring intoxicants might serve some curative function or contain nutrients that are otherwise scarce in the environment.
But, there’s compelling evidence to suggest that altering one’s state of mind for the simple purposes of experiencing that altered state is a natural drive common to many inhabitants of the animal kingdom. See for yourself.

1. Lemurs and capuchin monkeys get high off of millipedes.

The idea that some animals get high off other animals is an intriguing one, and lemurs and capuchin monkeys seem to be doing just this with poisonous millipedes. The millipedes store toxic chemicals, including cyanide, which they release in defense when provoked. The primates pick up and agitate millipedes and then rub them all over their bodies, coating themselves in the defensive secretions — here’s a BBC documentary clip on this. As mentioned in the video, the primary reason for this seem to be protection against a variety of parasites, but the monkeys and lemurs also seem to enjoy a thoroughly blissful intoxication as a result. The monkeys, being more social animals, have been seen passing a millipede around, reminiscent of a group of people passing around a joint.

images (1)2. Dolphins enjoy the psychoactive effects of poisonous pufferfish.

Similar to the lemurs and monkeys above, dolphins have been observed hanging out in groups of four to seven, passing around an angry pufferfish. The pufferfish releases an extremely potent poison called tetrodotoxin which is more deadly than nerve gas or the venom of the black widow spider, and thus is one of the most toxic compounds known to man. Evolutionary biologist Dr. Christie Wilcox is skeptical of the theory that dolphins are intentionally doing this for the purpose of intoxication and pleasure, but there is some compelling evidence to the contrary. For example, the BBC documentary Spy in the Pod showed dolphins passing around a pufferfish and then floating near the surface of the water, apparently in a “trance-like state.”

3. Many species of birds do what is called “anting.”

A seemingly odd behavior, ravens, myna birds, jays, magpies, and other birds sometimes either rub themselves with ants or get intimate with anthills to coat themselves in ants (see a jay do it here). This is called anting, and its purpose remains unclear.
An article published in the journal of the American Ornithologist’s Union in 1974 reviewed the possible explanations for anting. One theory is that the birds are coating themselves with the ant’s defensive chemical secretions, thus applying a protective coating much like when we apply insect repellent.
Another possibility is that the secretions serve to soothe the bird’s body during molting season. Others point to the curious movement sometimes observed during anting (described by one ecologist as “a curious dance that involved flopping around on the grass with its wings outstretched and its beak open”) as proof of an intoxicated state, suggesting that anting is pleasurable for the birds.
Perhaps the answer is a combination of these theories. Similar to how humans use cannabis, anting may at times serve a protective or curative purpose, while at other times be done mainly for the enjoyment of the altered state it brings about.

4. Many animals seek out fermented fruits in the wild.

It has been widely reported that elephants get themselves drunk from the marula tree’s fermented fruit. Anecdotal reports of these stumbling elephants go back over a century, and the phenomenon was portrayed in the film Animals are Beautiful People by James Uys (Uys also made The Gods Must Be Crazy). The idea is that the fallen fruit ferments either on the ground before being eaten, or in the elephant’s digestive system, yielding one drunk pachyderm.
As fun as it is to think about inebriated elephants, this theory has been debunked by an article published in the Physiological and Biochemical Zoology journal in 2006, and it’s been suggested that the clips shown in the above video were staged by artificially sedating the elephants. For starters, elephants don’t eat the rotten fruit from the ground, instead preferring to ram the tree trunk to shake loose the ripe fruit, even when there’s fruit on the ground available. Another hypothesis, which suggests that the fruit ferments in the digestive system, is also out of the question; the fruits are not in the digestive system long enough for that to happen, and the sugars needed for fermentation are metabolized by the elephant before they can be converted to alcohol by yeast. And, in order to get drunk an elephant would need to eat 1,400 fully fermented marula fruits — an unlikely feat. Despite its improbability, the myth, and convincing videos of seemingly drunk elephants, persist.

images (2)However, there have been confirmed reports of other animals that regularly consume fermented fruit. The pen-tailed treeshrew, native to Thailand and Malaysia, is known to regularly snack on the nectar of the bertam palm tree, sharing this indulgence with the slow loris and several other mammals native to that area, according to a study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science in 2008. The palm’s flower bud houses a species of yeast that ferments the nectar, bringing it to a beer-like alcohol content of up to 3.8%. It is estimated that, in one night, the treeshrew can consume the equivalent of nine alcoholic beverages. However, they show no overt signs of intoxication because their bodies use more efficient ways of breaking down alcohol than we do, preventing the accumulation of alcohol necessary for getting drunk. Similarly, bats regularly encounter and consume fermented fruits in the wild. Like the treeshrew, they show no signs of intoxication. When scientists gave bats an alcohol solution and made them fly an obstacle course, they performed no worse than their sober counterparts.

Monkeys also have a taste for alcohol — not only do they seek out fermented fruits, but they also like to steal alcoholic drinks from tourists. And their taste for alcohol has allowed for some pretty interesting research on their drinking habits. Vervet monkeys that were given access to alcohol in a social setting show some striking parallels to the drinking patterns of humans.
The monkeys could be grouped into social drinkers, which prefer sweetened drinks and only drink in the company of others; regular drinkers, which prefer their drinks straight, make good leaders, and are socially dominant; binge drinkers, which are aggressive and can drink themselves to death within months if given unrestricted access to alcohol; and abstainers. What’s more, not only the types of drinkers similar to humans, but the proportions of each of these behavior patterns in the monkeys studied reflects those found in human populations. These findings raise the possibility that our patterns of drug consumption are more fundamental aspects of our animal nature than we might think.

wacky-horse-570x3675. Horses seek out locoweed for its intoxicating effects.

Locoweed refers to any plant that produces the chemical swainsonine. It is thought that horses are initially attracted to these plants because they remain green longer than other plants once winter comes around. However, they begin to seek it out for its intoxicating effects, increasing their use over time. Farmers do their best to eliminate locoweed from their properties, as its frequent consumption is damaging to the animal’s health. A study published in the Journal of Animal Science in 2003 found that horses that ate the weed for two weeks developed significant weight loss and signs of depression. Swainsonine interferes with a metabolic enzyme, resulting in the buildup of the simple sugar mannose in neural cells. If severe, this buildup can lead to heart problems, reproductive difficulties, and neurological damage to the horses.

6. Jaguars eat the ayahuasca vine.

According to this Discovery article, humans aren’t the only ones that use Banisteriopsis caapi (one of the two plants used to make ayahuasca) as a psychoactive. This Amazonian jungle vine contains several compounds called beta-carbolines that potentiate the DMT in the ayahuasca brew by inhibiting bodily enzymes that would otherwise be responsible for breaking down the DMT. It turns out that jaguars also seek out the leaves of this jungle vine.
Higher doses of harmala alkaloids often result in vomiting and diarrhea characteristic of ayahuasca, so one possibility is that they consume the vine to purge the intestinal tract of possible parasites; a study of the Amazonian Piaroa tribe published in the Journal of Psychoactive Drugs suggests that eating the leaves grants the jaguar heightened sensory perception, helping them hunt. However, the jaguars are also known to roll around in ecstasy after consuming the vine, suggesting to some that its use is primarily for pleasure. See it for yourself here.

images7. Reindeer eat the psychoactive Amanita muscaria mushrooms.

These red-and-white psychedelic mushrooms, native to temperate and boreal regions in the Northern Hemisphere and thought to be the sacrament referred to as Soma in one of Hinduism’s foundational texts, are also a favorite snack of reindeer. As Gordon Wasson relates in his book Soma: Divine Mushroom of Immortality, reindeer are reported to prance about after eating the fungi — which are commonly referred to as “fly agaric” — apparently reveling in their intoxicated state. Reindeer are also an integral part of the history of Amanita use by indigenous peoples of Northern Europe and Siberia. As Reset.me recently reported, a 2009 BBC video explains how the Sami people indigenous to the Arctic Circle have long used fly agaric mushrooms in their visionary rituals. It is theorized that the connection between reindeer, Sami and fly agaric mushrooms is the basis for the legend of Santa’s flying reindeer.

Not only did these people herd reindeer, the animal being their main source of food and clothing, but they also got high with a little help from their reindeer friends. The effects of Amanita muscaria are characterized by a certain unpredictability, as their ingestion can bring about a range of thoroughly unpleasant side-effects and physical symptoms. In time, it was discovered that muscimol, the active compound of the mushrooms, is not processed by the body but is instead flushed out through urination while the more toxic compounds responsible for the body load are broken down. This led to the practice in some places of drinking the psychoactive urine of the shaman who had eaten, and thus purified, the mushroom. Some shamans even drank the urine of reindeer that had eaten the mushrooms. It turns out that the reindeer, intelligent in their own right, also realized that they could get high from the urine of a human that had consumed the mushroom, leading to what Cracked humorously referred to as “The Circle of Piss.”

8. Wallabies ravage opium poppy fields.

Tasmania is a leading producer of opium poppies for the pharmaceutical industry, supplying the morphine necessary for the production of painkillers. There’s only one problem: wallabies love the poppies. They’ll raid a field, gorge themselves on poppies, and crush the plantations in the process. As reported by BBC in 2009, the issue of stoned wallabies was even discussed at a parliamentary hearing on the security of opium crops in Tasmania, with the country’s attorney general stating that wallabies were “entering poppy fields, getting high as a kite, and going around in circles.”

download9. Pigs dig up truffles containing cannabinoids.

Black truffles, a gourmet delicacy for us humans, are also a sought-after snack for pigs. These mushrooms grow exclusively below ground and are identified by pigs by their aroma, said to be reminiscent of wet earth, dried fruit, and cacao.  A recent article in the journal Phytochemistry revealed that the black truffle (Tuber melanosporum) contains the cannabinoid anandamide, a compound structurally related to THC that is also found endogenously in the human body and is a key component of the body’s endocannabinoid system. Anandamide derives its name from the Sanskrit word ananda, meaning “bliss.” Researchers suggest that the anandamide in black truffles might be “an ancient attractant to truffle eaters that are well-equipped with with endocannabinoid receptors,” indirectly suggesting that humans might be drawn to truffles for the same reason.

Mohammad’s awakening Part II

10427265_10152528571508685_2979729659247047433_n

Dear Friends,
this is a second part to yesterdays article… the journey thru the manifold continues and human consciousness manifests into materia:
The first Part you find here: https://edithboyertelmer.wordpress.com/2015/06/27/mohammads-awakening-an-inspiration-for-all-truth-seeker/
Love and Blessings
Edith

The manifold itself is not the end, nor the significant reality of all existence, beyond this and yet still further beyond, Allah (spirit world, spirit, higher self) is without limits and this is why we can not comprehend Allah’s being, Allah’s imagination, Allah’s manifestation, Allah’s absolute reality. People puzzle over the question, if Allah created all reality, what created Allah, but we do not possess the frame of reference to comprehend the answer to this question.
We exist within an ocean of energy, like a fish in the deep ocean, we cannot grasp the further realities awaiting us, just as the fish that exists in total darkness, in freezing temperatures, and at enormous pressure, cannot grasp the reality of a man walking in a sunny wood, a reality completely alien to its frame of reference.
At the fringes, entering the manifold the ordinary world is revealed as a slowly but constantly convecting fluid, ordinary matter in its true state, continually reinventing itself, crystallizing from the inside out in all directions at once and melting away at the surface. It’s in constant flux, pushing against space-time and continually interacting with waves and particles of energy.
Since this physical world is a world of experience, it belongs more to experience than to being. The being, or ontological nature, of this world is quite different from what we perceive and experience as reality. The experience that engulfs a persons entire being as they slip beneath the surface feels like the penetration of a membrane, a significant occurrence. The mind and the self literally unfold before one’s eyes. There is a sense that one is made new, yet unchanged.
hqdefaultThis world is teeming with life, it exists in every nook and cranny, in every environmental condition, and I suspect this state is not in isolation. This physical universe I am confident is likewise teeming with life, in every possible location conducive to life. This teeming life filled universe emanates from the manifold, animate or inanimate, searing or frozen, blinding or black, all that exists within the physical universe is sustained and manifest through the conscious energy within the manifold.
The human consciousness enters the manifold at its surface, it depths are unlimited; at the surface, like the surface of a mirror, it reflects back your consciousness, the thought becomes reality, the reality becomes the thought, in this multi-sensory coordination of perception.
The manifold generating this reality is complimentary, and more active in our perceived physical reality than that perception, being the sustaining reality, which is consciousness, a pure conscious life energy, the conscious energy of creation in its extraordinarily intensely concentrated medium, it manifests to our consciousness only as the gift of a new language, the conscious energy sings in pearly voices that rain down as coloured petals and flow through the air like hot metal to become toys of such wonder and imagination they defy description. The sense of emotional connection is terrifying and intense, the contact is unquestionably with something very interactive, attentive, hyper intelligent and ostensibly alien to one’s whole existence.
DownloadThis visible language, the music of Allah expressed in all five senses and all other unknown senses simultaneously, sings knowledge, sings imagination, sings emotions, sings creation, sings vision, sings sensation, sings endless possibilities; the ascension of Mohammad was the deepest communication and communion a human being has ever experienced within this medium of consciousness, the information articulated within this divine language took Mohammad to a level of consciousness we can not comprehend. A multi dimensional expression of communication, articulation of an order beyond the limits of this physical universe.
This language of reality is not a realm of little creatures as people describe superficially, but the ocean of consciousness, expression and imagination the manifold holds. The people who delve into this manifold using external drugs are in the main thrill seekers, they describe amazing events, but when viewed clearly they describe a deeper, richer and spectacular form of communication.
So every time you enter REM sleep, if your pineal gland is functioning correctly, Allah takes you into the manifold, and communicates with your emotional consciousness, such a gift should be treasured; for a lucky few, such as Muhammad, they can achieve this communion in a waking state, so with their conscious mind can not only communicate but explore this magnificent reality.
When people using DMT have experienced this underlying reality they return with a certainty that their consciousness continues after death, they harbour the idea of an existence beyond the physical body, as they realise, at a superficial level, they themselves are woven into the fabric of the manifold. They have a sense of enchantment, of sanctity, of profound beauty, they feel a sense of privilege to access the knowledge, and they feel that their intelligence and connection is increased.
The Mysteries revealed are real and if this deeper reality is ever fully, commonly understood, will strip away much of the confusion, and ignorance surrounding the purpose, and personal obligations of each person upon themselves, so transforming all this world, a world of enslavement, a prison planet for ourselves and our collaborators. A misery, if unchecked, that will lead the traveller ever deeper into despair, until the realisation that you have imprisoned yourself within yourself, from this life into the next.

Foot Note:

Now a strange conspiracy of corruption, intentional immorality through knowledge or ignorance I can not judge, has disconnected people from this natural physical process, the human pineal gland has been destroyed within the majority of people, through the deception of sodium fluoride, a poison they intentionally peddle and market through dentistry.
The toxicity of fluoride is no secret in scientific circles. According to the Clinical Toxicology of Commercial Products, fluoride is more toxic than lead and just slightly less toxic than arsenic which is one of the most toxic substances known.
fluoride-docile_dFluoride has long enjoyed a sterling public image as a “proven cavity fighter,” bone builder and essential nutrient. The fact of the matter is that it is none of these things, but rather one of the most toxic elements on earth, capable of causing the very problems it is touted to solve, in addition it causes depression, and accelerates the onset of puberty in children, but its most insidious effect is it accumulates in the pineal gland, causing calcification; it disconnects you from your source, without your pineal gland to release your emotional force it weakens your energies. The hardening of the pineal gland is likely to be responsible for much of the now common restriction in our conscious awareness as humans.
People must refuse to use sodium fluoride, giving your body time to repair itself, change to toothpaste free of sodium fluoride and sodium laurel sulphate, products like mouth wash, dental floss, also contain fluoride, if they pollute your drinking water with fluoride, you must filter your drinking water, or use bottled water.
Gotu Kola nourishes the gland, Alfalfa sprouts and Parsley energise the gland, Wheat germ, olive oil, melons and pineapple juice also energise the gland, Lecithin and L-Arginine help to rebuild your gland.
Violet is the primary colour and is the highest vibration which effects the pineal gland. The bare eye (without glasses of any kind) should be exposed to indirect sunlight on a regular basis. Light reflected by the retina stimulates the pineal gland.
CAUTION: Looking directly into the Sun can damage the retina, so do not look into the Sun.

Mohammad’s Awakening – an inspiration for all truth seeker!!

Image21Dear Freinds,
another beautiful article has found its way to me and I feel especially glad, that it is from an Islamic writer. Please open your mind and follow his steps of explanation – especially as the writer has written so purely from the heart and without any religious context. In the past few month – Mohamed the Ascended Master has often found his way to me – as his power is of ‘Guidance through belief’!! Trust in the voice from within and let it guide you into a new phase of human evolution !!

Edith

This is an article from the website ServantoftheLight
39:42 It is Allah Who takes their consciousness upon death, and of the living during their sleep. Allah withholds it for those upon whom Allah has passed the decree of death, and restores the others until an appointed time. Herein, behold, are Signs for people who think.

A verse of clarity for those who think, as the messenger Muhammad used reason and deep thought, so as a Muslim you must emulate this action. Muhammad meditated for many years in the evenings, to caves in Jabal-an-Nur (mountain of light), he had a favourite cave called `Ghar-i-Hira’ or the cave of research.
Muhammad, like Isa, and Buddha, practiced meditation, slowing his mind and clearing his thoughts, over time his ability to slow his mind grow more controlled until one night he achieved 4 to 5 cycles per second, a key cycle of consciousness, triggering something that shattered the very fabric of his reality, this is no small achievement, as in a natural circumstance you will enter REM sleep in such a mental state, so it is the ability to overcome the mechanism of the mind and remain conscious while your mind is at rest. A state of consciousness Buddha called enlightenment, the state of consciousness this essay is about.

Deeply affected, he returned home and related to his wife what had happened, believing he may have gone mad, he expressed his fears; a basic desert existence was all he knew until that night, an experience so profound and in direct contrast to any experience he had even conceived of, it transformed his outlook, his understanding and his connection with reality. The human mind is a physical organ connecting your consciousness to the many senses (we possess 21 sense in all it has been calculated), you use to experience this universe, you are in truth an electromagnetic plasma being, held within a physical body within this reality, this is the first thing to understand.

The universe is held within a manifold, this manifold is a virtual ocean of energy so dense it boggles the mind, each cubic centimeter holding more energy than all the visible universe combined, of a truly infinite reality, this is the second thing to be understood.
The human brain holds your consciousness within this reality, but has the power to set it free; that freedom is possible under certain conditions.
So how is the conscious mind released from this reality; how is the veil of this material reality, our physical universe removed?
The brain has a small solitary gland (the only unpaired gland in the brain) called the pineal gland, it sits well-protected in the deep recesses of the brain, bathed in cerebrospinal fluid by the ventricles (the fluid filled cavities of the brain that feed the pineal and remove the waste), it produces a few things but two main things, melatonin and 5-methoxytryptamine (Dimethyltryptamine (DMT)), it produces DMT (an endogenous (produced inside the organism) psychedelic) naturally every night when your mind hits 4 to 5 cycles per second and you enter REM sleep; it produces DMT when you die; and it produces DMT when through meditation your mind slows to 4 to 5 cycles, being vibrations of energy. The vibration of your mind through meditation, harmonize both hemispheres of your brain with your electromagnetic energy.
DMT releases your consciousness, Allah (the single consciousness, held within the overarching dichotomy) through this mechanism takes your emotional energy from this reality and then returns it each night.
four-trypamine-compounds1It may seem a strange idea, your consciousness being take into the manifold each night and then returned, but when people have been injected with DMT they cannot retain the memory of the experience within their electromagnetic plasma field, it cannot be remembered. DMT is classed as an hallucinogenic drug, as it takes your consciousness from this physical reality, the body is rendered immobile, the memory is shut down, at least in the conscious bringing to mind, it interacts with the subconscious mind, the dormant, yet far, far, more powerful aspect of your sentience.
If DMT is smoked, it is possible to retain some of the memory, they all describe the same reality, without connection or previous knowledge of any other persons experience having been reported, it is always the same reality they describe, this is not the method you should use for this experience, as you would be in the wrong emotional state and hence cannot delve deeply into this reality, being under the influence of a drug and not through the conscious control of your own mind.
The perfect method (I would call it the most natural method)to experience DMT reality is through meditation, which evokes pineal DMT release (trigger or key to unlocking the conscious mind) through electromagnetic vibrations; achieved by training your mind to vibrate at a low frequency, which can be helped through outside stimulation, such as pulsed sounds or light, which allows your mind to remove the veil of this reality, so you can experience consciously the information transfer of the manifold, with total recall. The practices of the past through tribal rituals that accessed the power of the pineal, utilised rhythmic sounds and actions to lower their frequencies, the Sufi dhikr practice could generate a similar effect. The problem with external drug DMT experience is the noise of the mind, they enter, their mind excited and alive with chatter, the high frequency mind is not ideal, so contaminates the information interaction with random and disconnected thought.
indexThe pineal gland is referred by some as the third eye, by others as the spirit gland; this gland is light sensitive and actually within reptiles has a lens, cornea, and retina, the pineal gland allows you to communicate with the manifold, this information transfer is through the photon, as it is in a basic form within the physical universe, it is to an extreme form within manifold accessed through the pineal gland, so intense is the photon exchange your very being emanates photons, so you glow very slightly.
All the physical reality is a form of energy, whether time, light, mass or space, another way to think of energy would be ordered knowledge, each aspect of energy is ordered, and works in an ordered way, all energy is in continuous exchange with its active time environment and the active manifold (also reference as the energetic vacuum, the ‘A‘ field, Etc.). The photon is also a form of energy and has both spatial and time energy components, whenever a mass absorbs an observable photon, the mass it extended in three dimensional space and forced to continue through time, during the transition virtual photons are absorbed and emitted generating an internal restructuring resulting from the observable photon interaction.
hqdefaultThis understanding can be expressed another way, there is out folded light and infolded light, the infolded light is an extraordinary vacuum engine that generates and drives the apparently physical, which is invisibly hidden below the surface, while the out folded light transmits the information of the physical.
It being communication at superluminal (faster than the speed of light) speed, using electromagnetic waves inside this infolded, ‘inner’, electrodynamics. Mass is mostly empty space interacting with electromagnetic potentials, fields and waves; so mass is in fact a superhighway for direct superluminal communication using longitudinal electromagnetic waves. The entire universe is a matrix of information, unified, conscious and constantly being reinvented. The pineal gland sees the infolded light, it observes the vision of the manifold and receives the information these virtual photons transmit.
You may think why does matter that could never absorb a photon, say buried deep within the Earth have existence if the above understanding is correct, well all atomic electrons at any energy level continually receive and emit virtual photons with the manifold, meaning they are permanently connected and interacting with the manifold.
No matter how precise the technological and scientific developments, energy must materialize from the manifold before it can be observed, and so be physical; until Allah (the universe, the higher self, the divine presence in action) materializes it, it does not for all intents and purposes exist, yet we have the power within us to witness beyond this physical realm.
01bMohammad took a journey, deep into the underlying reality, a virtual reality of infinite knowledge, on an object called Burraque, the meaning coming from the Arabic root Barque which translates as lightening, so Burraque means intense energy, or energy light, the journey Mohammad took within the information exchange of the manifold was a level of understanding beyond which no human knowledge, residing in this world, has ever delved, or could ever explore deeper, he traveled to the limits of our emotional energy.
Upon his return from this virtual underlying reality of his conscious being, Mohammad found that the door chain of his house was still moving, and the water from which he had made his ablution was still dripping, as if he had been gone only a very short time. The effects of linear time are a manifestation of the manifold as reality is reinvented instant by instant around once every 9 billionths of a second, but within the manifold the illusion of linear time does not exist, so time can be perceived shorter or, longer than time within our physical universe.
Mohammad was asked if he had seen Allah, to which he replied, ‘No’. What is clear is he attained the deepest and utmost knowledge of the true nature of existence, ever conceived or comprehended, and vouchsafed to any man.
Now the preceding explanation has given you a little insight into the functions within yourself, and how every human being has the innate ability to connect as Muhammad, and as Muhammad, once you have consciously connected with this reality, it becomes easier and easier to reconnect, explore deeper and experience fuller the wonder of this arcane reality.
And that’s just what Muhammad did, he continued to explore and experience this wondrous and fascinating deeper reality, underpinning this superficial physical reality; a physical reality we believe to be real, which is in fact a dream in comparison to the manifold that gives this reality it birth, we know little of the manifold, but one thing is for sure, the adventure is just beginning.
If you consider it this way, if the manifold holds all the energy of our visible universe within each and every single cubic centimetre of its truly infinite proportions, and you then consider the scale of our universe in comparison to that superior reality, our physical universe becomes insignificant.
To give you a perspective of just how vast this physical universe is, if you portioned out all the stars man has observed and extrapolated so far, it would mean each person on Earth would hold roughly, Thirty eight trillion, four hundred and sixty one billion, five hundred and thirty eight million, four hundred and sixty one thousand, stars each.
To give you a perspective of the scale of that number, if a grain of sand 1mm³ represented each of the stars allotted to each person, each person would have over 84,000 tonnes of sand. To give you a perspective of this number that’s enough sand to cover an acre of ground nine and a half metres high. Now in comparison to the scale of the manifold this physical universe is insignificant, but consider this, the manifold in comparison to the scale of Allah’s creations is comparably insignificant.

5 WAYS TO FEEL HIGH WITHOUT DRUGS OR PLANTS

Since the beginning of time, humans have enjoyed getting high. From peyote to fasting, from booze to orgasm, people love to alter their consciousness and feel good. Some argue that addicts and alcoholics crave this transcendence more than the average person, noting that our brains are just  wired differently. I don’t know about you but I like boom-boom big pleasure: Sometimes I just want dopamine, serotonin, endorphins and zippy laugh-riot good times. While I’ve learned that a lot of those big highs come with devastating lows, there are many people in recovery who’ve learned how to get those natural highs without the long-term losses associated with the use of drugs:

1) Meditation

stock-footage-meditation-loopable-background-high-quality-loopable-background-meditation-human-in-the-space

Getting high off of meditation
Now this is an advanced thing and I stumbled upon it accidentally and was delighted. As I started to meditate for longer, I found out I started to feel like I was getting high (the kind of high you get when you smoke marijuana). And once I stared feeling this way, I got addicted! At first I would meditate only in the nights before I went to sleep (did I mention that this is awesome if you have insomnia?), but after this realization I would meditate every time I had some free time anywhere between 15-30 minutes when I wouldn’t be disturbed.

This is the only way, you have to keep doing it and keep increasing your concentration period. And the more you do it, the easier you’ll find yourself to get into this altered state.

Advantages of getting high off of meditation
This high that you get with meditation is not like marijuana where you are going to be high for hours (but if you can meditate for that long, then why not) but you have absolute control and you can come out of it whenever you want.

You wouldn’t get any of the side effects that you would get with the drugs that induce the altered state of mind (nicotine, caffeine, alcohol etc. all are drugs that alter the state of mind).

On the contrary you will have medical benefits! Now how awesome is that!
Meditation has a bunch of benefits but this article is already too lengthy (and frankly I don’t know the list by heart) so here is a link with a concise list:
http://www.total-meditation.com/Advantages-Of-Meditation.html

2. Ecstatic Dance / Hula Hooping (interesting):

There is something special about moving your body to music you love that puts you in a special state of trance. How you dance and what you dance to has a particularly deep influence on the level of consciousness you will reach during the activity. Any type of movement to music however does get your body producing endorphins that are released during exercise. If you do your dancing consciously or yogicly with hula hoops or some sort of tool that helps you mold your body to intricate geometries repeatedly, it is possible for your body to produce temporary consciousness expanding moments although your state of perception may remain long term.

A meditative state of mind must be achieved to put your perception into a sensitive and moldable state to aid the process. Your state of mind creates the difference between a normal adrenaline / endorphin rush and a full DMT like temporary altered state. I have many times had that experience happen to me where it almost creates a fork in the road, I could either meditate on it and allow a full technicolor geometrical experience to take place or I could simply blink my eyes a few times and it’ll be applied as a happiness rush.

It makes sense if you look on google and see how serotonin in synthesized in the pineal gland to create meletonin and DMT.  Your brain won’t activate the pineal gland during the day unless a meditative state is achieved. Now you understand why the meditative state is required and why so many people never experience what I am speaking of until they start practicing yoga.

3) Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga supports your Divine Purpose in life, that of becoming an excellent human being. The practice of Kundalini Yoga encourages you to think of yourself first as a spiritual being, inhabiting a body that was designed to contain a portion of Divine Consciousness. Through Kundalini Yoga, you will move, breathe and concentrate in an exceedingly specific manner that encourages the level of consciousness necessary to experience your Higher Self, your union with the Infinite, your ‘Sat Nam’.

4. Breathing Consciously:

Breathing is such an integral part of life that we tend to take it for granted.  It simply happens day in and day out endlessly, like the beating of our heart.  These automatic processes of the body often fall into the background of our awareness — we typically don’t notice them until we accidentally swallow water ‘down the wrong pipe’ or enter a suana or extremely hot environment in which the air suddenly becomes hot and breathing labored.  Yet, in many ways, the key to expanded awareness lies in first becoming aware of the breath and bringing its pattern under our conscious control, as breathing controls the flow of ‘life force’ (energy) in our body.

The yogi’s and taoists knew that breath was our primary source of Chi/Qi/Prana — all names for the primordial energy which permeates all things and collects in higher amounts in sentient beings.  They also realized that for most people, breathing was largely an unconscious process characterized by its shallowness.  By becoming consciously aware of the breath and deepening it, they found that greatly expanded states of consciousness could be achieved.  They went on to experiment with all kinds of different techniques, thereby refining the art of breathing into a series of known practices which could be used to enhance awareness at will.

5) Conscious Love-Making

We all know making love in general is by design going to give you one of the most potent natural highs of all time.  However that typical experience we are use to having, has its ups and down related to the quality of the intercourse we experience. Just like manufacturing a drug, the best way to ensure the high is as good as possible is to make the experience as pure and loving as possible.  When we have intercourse full of conscious love, we allow our sexual experience to speak to our entire body rather than just the lower organs.  This results in a huge increase in pleasure and more control of the experience. The sense of control comes from intercourse being practiced from a place of fullness rather than achievement of the orgasm.

I recommend looking out Tao or Tantric practices to get a structured understanding of the process.

Brazilian Prisons Using Hallucinogenics to Rehabilitate Violent Criminals

nnnIn the Brazilian city of Ji-Paraná, people convicted of such things as murder and rape are now being given Ayahuasca in shamanic ceremonies designed to rehabilitate them and allow them profound, life changing spiritual experiences. Volunteer therapists realized nothing is working effectively to psychologically treat them, so they decided to take it from an entirely different angle.

If you were unaware, Ayahuasca is a long-standing South American spiritual tradition. It’s a brew containing Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) containing root-bark, and leaves that make the DMT activate after consuming it orally. The brew has been used in shamanic ceremonies for hundreds, possibly thousands of years. Some believe DMT is created in your brain’s pineal gland when you dream and when you die, and believe the molecule is an actual portal that transfers your spirit from the body into a state of hallucinogenic consciousness. People who consume Ayahuasca describe communicating with ‘otherworldly’ beings, and being transported out of their bodies; it lasts about 2-6 hours. The theory of DMT being created in the pineal gland has been partially proven, as DMT has been found in the pineal glands of rats. I highly recommend you read ‘DMT; The Spirit Molecule’ by Rick Strassman if you have never heard of it.

“I’m finally realizing I was on the wrong path in this life,” said 36 yr old Celmiro de Almeida, a man serving a sentence for murder who was given the opportunity to try Ayahuasca“Each experience helps me communicate with my victim to beg for forgiveness,” he said. Celmiro took Ayahuasca almost 20 times in these ceremonies.

Volunteer therapists with an organization called Acuda are administering the Ayahuasca treatments, which have proved to be quite effective so far.

Left: Ayahuasca preparation. Right: Brazilian prisoners

According to the New York Times, “At the temple here in Ji-Paraná, the inmates appeared to experience a range of reactions after drinking the ayahuasca. Sitting on plastic lawn chairs under a tile roof, some were stone-faced. Others seemed lost in contemplation. One was constantly in tears, as if demons were at the door. All of them sang at the top of their lungs when the rhythm of the hymns intensified.”

About 15 people a month are allowed to visit the Acuda building where they meditate and take Ayahuasca. “This is how it should be,” Virgílio Siqueira said, as a guard at a prison complex that includes Acuda. “It’s gratifying to know that we can sit here in the forest, drink our Daime, sing our hymns, exist in peace.”

The inmate population in Brazil nearly doubled since 2000, with about 550,000 people incarcerated total. The multinational drug war’s vicious circle is still unleashing hell on Brazil as well as Mexico, Peru, Columbia, and other nearby areas.

Some families of people killed by the inmates are upset that it was given to them, while they have no free Ayahuasca to deal with their loss. “Where are the massages and the therapy for us?”said 48 yr old Paulo Freitas, a man whose 18-year-old daughter was kidnapped, raped and murdered in Pôrto Velho 2 years ago by a man now being treated with Ayahuasca. “This is utterly revolting,” he said. “My daughter’s dreams were extinguished by that man, but he will be allowed to go into the jungle and drink his tea.”

bryeThere is also a prevailing attitude among many in Brazil that prisoners should be harshly punished rather than rehabilitated. “Many people in Brazil believe that inmates must suffer, enduring hunger and depravity,” said 40 yr old Euza Beloti, a psychologist. “This thinking bolsters a system where prisoners return to society more violent than when they entered prison…we simply see inmates as human beings with the capacity to change.”

“We are considered the trash of Brazil, but this place accepts us,” said 43 yr old Darci Altair Santos da Silva, a construction worker doing 13 years for sexual abuse of a child under 14. “I know what I did was very cruel. The tea helped me reflect on this fact, on the possibility that one day I can find redemption.”

Multiple recent scientific studies have pointed to hallucinogenics as a valid treatment for mental illness and trauma therapy such as PTSD. Though long term results are yet to be known from these Ayahuasca treatments in Brazil, the science behind the medical value of hallucinogenics can no longer be denied.

The Consciousness Revolution

Consciousness Revolution

by Graham Hancock

Consciousness is one of the great mysteries of science – perhaps the greatest mystery. We all know we have it, when we think, when we dream, when we savor tastes and aromas, when we hear a great symphony, when we fall in love, and it is surely the most intimate, the most sapient, the most personal part of ourselves. Yet no one can really claim to have understood and explained it completely. There’s no doubt it’s associated with the brain in some way but the nature of that association is far from clear. In particular how do these three pounds of material stuff inside our skulls allow us to have experiences?

Professor David Chalmers of the Australian National University has dubbed this the “hard problem” of consciousness; but many scientists, particularly those (still in the majority) who are philosophically inclined to believe that all phenomena can be reduced to material interactions, deny that any problem exists. To them it seems self-evident that physical processes within the stuff of the brain produce consciousness rather in the way that a generator produces electricity – i.e. consciousness is an “epiphenomenon” of brain activity. And they see it as equally obvious that there cannot be such things as conscious survival of death or out-of-body experiences since both consciousness and experience are confined to the brain and must die when the brain dies.

images (3)Yet other scientists with equally impressive credentials are not so sure and are increasingly willing to consider a very different analogy – namely that the relationship of consciousness to the brain may be less like the relationship of the generator to the electricity it produces and more like the relationship of the TV signal to the TV set. In that case when the TV set is destroyed – dead – the signal still continues. Nothing in the present state of knowledge of neuroscience rules this revolutionary possibility out. True, if you damage certain areas of the brain certain areas of consciousness are compromised, but this does not prove that those areas of the brain generate the relevant areas of consciousness. If you were to damage certain areas of your TV set the picture would deteriorate or vanish but the TV signal would remain intact.
We are, in other words, confronted by at least as much mystery as fact around the subject of consciousness and this being the case we should remember that what seems obvious and self-evident to one generation may not seem at all obvious or self-evident to the next. For hundreds of years it was obvious and self-evident to the greatest human minds that the sun moved around the earth – one need only look to the sky, they said, to see the truth of this proposition. Indeed those who maintained the revolutionary view that the earth moved around the sun faced the Inquisition and death by burning at the stake. Yet as it turned out the revolutionaries were right and orthodoxy was terribly, ridiculously wrong.

The-Painters-Universe-by-Cherie-Roe-DirksenThe same may well prove to be true with the mystery of consciousness. Yes, it does seem obvious and self-evident that the brain produces it (the generator analogy), but this is a deduction from incomplete data and categorically NOT yet an established and irrefutable fact. New discoveries may force materialist science to rescind this theory in favour of something more like the TV analogy in which the brain comes to be understood as a transceiver rather than as a generator of consciousness and in which consciousness is recognized as fundamentally “non-local” in nature – perhaps even as one of the basic driving forces of the universe. At the very least we should withhold judgment on this “hard problem” until more evidence is in and view with suspicion those who hold dogmatic and ideological views about the nature of consciousness.

It’s at this point that the whole seemingly academic issue becomes intensely political and current because modern technological society idealizes and is monopolistically focused on only one state of consciousness – the alert, problem-solving state of consciousness that makes us efficient producers and consumers of material goods and services. At the same time our society seeks to police and control a wide range of other “altered” states of consciousness on the basis of the unproven proposition that consciousness is generated by the brain.

I refer here to the so-called “war on drugs” which is really better understood as a war on consciousness and which maintains, supposedly in the interests of society, that we as adults do not have the right or maturity to make sovereign decisions about our own consciousness and about the states of consciousness we wish to explore and embrace. This extraordinary imposition on adult cognitive liberty is justified by the idea that our brain activity, disturbed by drugs, will adversely impact our behavior towards others. Yet anyone who pauses to think seriously for even a moment must realize that we already have adequate laws that govern adverse behavior towards others and that the real purpose of the “war on drugs” must therefore be to bear down on consciousness itself.

222ce-bhang2bthe2bindian2bpsychoactive2bdrink2bmade2bfrom2bcannabis2bduring2bthe2bholi2bfestivalConfirmation that this is so came from the last British Labor government. It declared that its drug policy would be based on scientific evidence yet in 2009 it sacked Professor David Nutt, Chairman of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs, for stating the simple statistical fact that cannabis is less dangerous (in terms of measured “harms”) than tobacco and alcohol and that ecstasy is less dangerous than horse-riding. Clearly what was at play here were ideological issues of great importance to the powers that be. And this is an ideology that sticks stubbornly in place regardless of changes in the complexion of the government of the day. The present Conservative-Liberal coalition remains just as adamant in its enforcement of the so-called war on drugs as its Labor predecessor, and continues in the name of this “war” to pour public money – our money – into large, armed, drug-enforcement bureaucracies which are entitled to break down our doors at dead of night, invade our homes, ruin our reputations and put us behind bars.

All of this, we have been persuaded, is in our own interests. Yet if we as adults are not free to make sovereign decisions – right or wrong – about our own consciousness, that most intimate, that most sapient, that most personal part of ourselves, then in what useful sense can we be said to be free at all? And how are we to begin to take real and meaningful responsibility for all the other aspects of our lives when our governments seek to disenfranchise us from this most fundamental of all human rights and responsibilities?

In this connection it is interesting to note that our society has no objection to altering consciousness per se. On the contrary many consciousness-altering drugs, such as Prozac, Seroxat, Ritalin and alcohol, are either massively over-prescribed or freely available today, and make huge fortunes for their manufacturers, but remain entirely legal despite causing obvious harms. Could this be because such legal drugs do not alter consciousness in ways that threaten the monopolistic dominance of the alert problem-solving state of consciousness, while a good number of illegal drugs, such as cannabis, LSD, DMT and psilocybin, do?

13There is a revolution in the making here, and what is at stake transcends the case for cognitive liberty as an essential and inalienable adult human right. If it turns out that the brain is not a generator but a transceiver of consciousness then we must consider some little-known scientific research that points to a seemingly outlandish possibility, namely that a particular category of illegal drugs, the hallucinogens such as LSD, DMT and psilocybin, may alter the receiver wavelength of the brain and allow us to gain contact with intelligent non-material entities, “light beings”, “spirits”, “machine elves” (as Terence McKenna called them) – perhaps even the inhabitants of other dimensions. This possibility is regarded as plain fact by shamans in hunter-gatherer societies who for thousands of years have made use of visionary plants and fungi to enter and interact with what they construe as the “spirit world”. Intriguingly it was also specifically envisaged by Dr Rick Strassman, Professor of Psychiatry at the University of New Mexico, following his ground-breaking research with human volunteers and DMT carried out in the 1990’s – a project that produced findings with shattering implications for our understanding of the nature of reality. For further information on Strassman’s revolutionary work see his book DMT: The Spirit Molecule.
