Dear Friends,
the last two month have collectively been experienced as very heated and intensively transforming, under the impact of the fiery Leo energy field. A field of divine light that radiated from the golden color ray of the I AM awareness. The vibrations the human race have received in this time, where designed to remind us all of our inner beauty and to create clarity for our higher self to guide our daily steps. But just because we received all this information, it does not mean we are already the products of the vibrations transmitted. Now it is on us to consciously translate the teachings and change what ever is in our way.

he Ascended Master Saint Germain is the Chohan – the leader – of the violet flame of ascension into the Golden Age of Aquarius. He is the master alchemist of the sacred inner fire of transformation. With him on this ray are many other Ascended Masters like Kuan Yin the Goddess of Mercy, Lady Portia the Goddess of Justice, Pallas Athena the Goddess of Self-confidence, and also the Archangel Metatron.

Just as material Alchemy can turn Lead into Gold, the violet flame turns the lower vibrations of our human existence into expressions of our highest divine potential. The violet flame has a strong effect on the emotional, mental and physical level, as well as through all layers of our individual spiral dance of creation. Is It Possible To Live Minimalism In A Family With Kids?

in April last year, I shared a post called Simplifying Childhood May Protect Against Mental Health Issues, in which the author gave us insides about the mental health effect of a simple life style and less entertainment overload. In the rise of traveling families and world schooling we heard about parents on the road in order to educate their children. It is truly fascinating to watch how many people are feeling the call these days, to make a change that leads them back to the roots, and to a life filled with human values rather than material goods.
On the other hand there are many who can not even imagine letting go of the smallest possession, and need a little more inspiration to feel attracted to that idea. In the last week I finally run into this two articles, describing the benefits and challenges to live a lifestyle based on minimalism, when living in a family with children. Studies show a direct link between the amount of physical possessions in a house and the stress level of the female homeowner. One study done at UCLA found that the more stuff was in a woman’s house, the higher her level of stress hormones. This same study also found that women subconsciously relate how happy they are with their homelife and family to how they feel about their homes. So the more clutter and chaos in the home, the less happy the woman is with her family and her life.
That’s what was going on with me, and I believe it’s the cause of today’s epidemic in mothers. Barely getting by, living in survival mode, feeling like their kids’ childhoods are passing them by even when they’re right there living it with them. No Excuses: Minimalism with Kids, By Leo Babauta
When my friends Joshua and Ryan took their new book on minimalism on a huge tour, one of the most frequent things they heard was, “I could never be a minimalist because I have kids.” To which they’d respond, “Our friend Leo is a minimalist … and he has six kids.”
And it’s funny, because before I started simplifying my life and experimenting with minimalism, I had the same thinking — that there was no way to change because of my kids, or my wife’s preferences perhaps. Boy was I wrong.
I set off on a journey of exploring minimalism, trying some extreme experiments, doing fun challenges with my family … and that journey has taught me to never again let myself use my family as an excuse not to make a change I’d like to make. Instead, I bring them along for the ride, and we have an amazing time together. `1Here’s what I learned:
It starts with me. You really can’t push your family to change unless they want to. So what I do is change myself, and be a living example that there’s a different way, and that it might be interesting and maybe better. I talk to them about the change so they know why I’m doing it, what made me consider it, what steps I’m taking, whether it’s hard or not, whether I like the change. In seeing my change, they might consider trying the change, or they might just think dad’s crazy, but either way they see a different possibility. So for example I might start decluttering my closet and drawers, or scanning all my paperwork so I can go digital, or clear out a storage shed.
This is a great thing for them to see, but at the same time I’m letting them be themselves with no expectations that they’ll join me. Minimalism is a conversation. Minimalism isn’t about getting rid of all your stuff and living with barely anything. In a family, minimalism is really a conversation about what’s important. What’s necessary. Why we own things and do things. A lot of times, a family never really has this conversation — it’s all just implied in the way we live. But minimalism is about bringing this out in the open and talking about it. The result of the discussion will be very different for each family — some will keep doing what they’ve been doing, because they like that best, but others will decide to try various changes, and there’s no single right way. The important thing is to start the conversation, and to keep it going basically for the rest of your lives.

Enjoy the simple pleasures. Eva and I started doing fewer things with the kids that costs a lot of money (though we still do some of that), and instead focus on playing outside together, playing games together inside, cooking together. I’m not saying we do these things every single day (we don’t always have the time or energy) but we started showing them that the simple pleasures are amazing, and you don’t need to spend a lot of money to enjoy life.
See setbacks as learning opportunities. If you start decluttering as a family, you’ll be really happy with the changes … but sometimes there are setbacks. Your daughter might all of a sudden want a thousand Littlest Pet Shop dolls because she saw some cool videos online. You might all of a sudden have a bunch of stuff given to you by family members. These can be seen as setbacks and can be frustrating … or you can use them as ways to learn about how to deal with these kinds of issues, which are after all part of reality. You have to learn to deal with them, or you’ll struggle. There’s a lot to be learned when a grandparent doesn’t understand why you don’t have very much stuff.

Change traditions in a positive way. There are lots of things we do simply because it’s the way we’ve always done that. But these traditions can be challenged — why do we need to buy so many Christmas gifts? It’s tough to change traditions, though, because people are loathe to let go of what they’re used to. So present the change in tradition as an opportunity to do something awesome. In the case of Christmas gifts, we were going to save the money we would have spent on useless things they didn’t need … and use it for really fun experiences. We’ve gone to water parks or taken family vacations, as our holiday gift to the kids, instead of buying toys. The kids might miss the toys, but they love the experiences.
Talk to other family members. When you start making any kind of big changes, other family members (aunts, uncles, grandparents, siblings, friends etc.) might question what you’re doing. This is because you’re doing something outside the norm, and not everyone agrees with that. However, this is a great opportunity to talk to these family members about what you’re doing, educate them, widen the conversation from your immediate family to your wider family. And again, you’re setting an example for these people, and showing them there’s a different way — sometimes they even get inspired to make changes themselves! How We Can Turn Rejection Into An Active Source Of Self-Empowerment

Dear Friends,
during the last month of the past year, I made my first experience with renting out my house and sharing life space with total strangers. I had the plan to approach this new capture of my life, with the mindset of going into a big new adventure, so I was very excited to see what is coming. “And man was I surprised with what was presented to me” ;-). The first person to come and share the joy for an estimated time of 3 month, was not joyful at all with me.
Already on the second day of her life on my property, I could feel quiet resentments in her energy field and a generally slightly judgemental mindset. I invited my renter for a talk, so we can update our desires and needs for the next month and develop a feeling for a mutually shared space. I never was taken on for that offer. Than I tried any kind of different ways to moderate my communication, in order to reach my new life partner – without any success. The only thing resulting from that – was even more anger and resentment quietly radiating towards me. So after a week – I gave up. I decided to life next to another for the time being and simply respecting the differences we have, so we can peacefully “be” – will have to be enough for this relationship.

What can I say – within the day – she was gone. Broke the contract, never expressed anything authentically, but left the second the energetic source of my giving was removed. And let me tell you something my friends, I was never more grateful for all the rejections I already experienced thru life, and all the rejections I have consciously set myself up for – they have served me well in this moment. In gratitude as well, for not having to live in this love limiting setting for some month, I send my blessings and love to this person – and wish “all the best for the path to come!!”. And one more time, I embraced myself in the loving arms of my inner sanctuary, and found myself a better renter ;-). Here are some insides about how we can learn from rejection, and how it even can be fun to experiment with this generally as uncomfortable experienced feeling.

Helping Our Porn Influenced Youth To Develop Healthy Sexual Relationships

last November I shared a wonderful article from the hand of Bryan Reeves about Why men must give up porn, in order to find excess to meaningful sexuality again. I also posted the reflection of a close friend, how he is no longer procrasturbating his life away, but is looking for new ways how to deal with his life force and feelings. Many people involved themselves in the discussion the impressively honest report by Emma Lindsay, about What a bi-sexual woman learned from dating women who have been raped, brought up.
In her piece the author shares with us, that for women in our society it has become a state of daily normality” to be harassed, depressed or insulted on a sexual level. Now I ran into a study from Australia, unveiling how deeply effected our youth feels by the porn-culture they are growing up in. So lets take a look at what we are truly dealing with, and what we can do to support our children in their attempt to develop healthy and loving sexual relationships for their future.

“[I want] better education regarding sex for both boys and girls [and] information about pornography, and the way it influences harmful sexual practices.”
These are the words of Lucy, aged 15, one of 600 young Australian women and girls who took part in a just-released survey commissioned by Plan Australia and Our Watch. The survey, conducted by Ipsos, gathered responses from the girls and young women aged 15-19 in all states and territories.Sexual bullying and harassment are part of daily life for many girls. Young people are speaking out more and more about how these practices have links with pornography – and so they should, because they have most to lose. Pornography is molding and conditioning the sexual behaviors and attitudes of boys, and girls are being left without the resources to deal with these porn-saturated boys.

If there are still any questions about whether porn has an impact on young people’s sexual attitudes and behaviors, perhaps it’s time to listen to young people themselves. Girls and young women describe boys pressuring them to provide acts inspired by the porn they consume routinely. Girls tell of being expected to put up with things they don’t enjoy.3Some see sex only in terms of performance, where what counts most is the boy enjoying it. I asked a 15-year-old about her first sexual experience. She replied: “I think my body looked OK. He seemed to enjoy it”. Many girls seem cut off from their own sense of pleasure or intimacy. That he enjoyed it is the main thing. Girls and young women are under a lot of pressure to give boys and men what they want, to adopt pornified roles and behaviors, with their bodies being merely sex aids. Growing up in a pornified landscape, girls learn that they are service stations for male gratification and pleasure.

I meet girls who describe being groped in the school yard, girls routinely sexually harassed at school or on the school bus on the way home. They tell me boys act like they are entitled to girls’ bodies. Defenders of porn often say that it provides sex education. And it does: it teaches even very young boys that women and girls are always up for it. “No” in fact means yes, or persuade me.

The proliferation and globalization of hypersexualised imagery and pornographic themes makes healthy sexual exploration almost impossible. Sexual conquest and domination are untempered by the bounds of respect, intimacy and authentic human connection. Young people are not learning about intimacy, friendship and love, but about cruelty and humiliation.

It is intimacy and tenderness that so many girls and young women say they are looking for. A young woman told me that on dating sites she lists under “fetish” wanting to stare longingly into someone’s eyes and to take sex slow. She said if she didn’t put these desires in the “fetish” category, they wouldn’t warrant a second glance.

It is wrong to leave sexual formation in the hands of the global sex industry. We need to do more to help young people stand up against warped notions of sexuality conveyed in pornography.

So what can we do to help our youth find their own way in the intensive stretch between their human needs for intimacy, authenticity, gentleness and kindness; and the projected reality they are daily confronted with on internet, the media, nearly every commercial they see and maybe also their homes. And there is where we can begin. Invite your children to speak openly about their sexuality. Encourage your children to ask questions, and make sure to answer them honestly!! Lead your daughters to have strong relationships with other women. A lot of the pressure young women feel, to perform and outshine, comes from a feeling of competition that can be avoided by a positive bond and healthy association with the own sex.
The website womenyoushouldknow.net recently shared a post, showing a recommendation from the graphic designer Katherine Young on how magazines for our girls should look like, in order to support their over all growth into strong and authentically expressing women. And there is since this month a new way possible to look at female sexuality, by the introduction of a 3D printed clitoris into the classrooms of French schools. If that model spreads, female sexual education will naturally change.
Dear Ones let me know what your thoughts are on this topic! Personally I think it needs a tribe to grow a healthy human being, so lets come together in joint forces, so our children don’t have to feel left alone with this fundamental part of their human education.

This month, pupils across France will be able to use the first full-size 3D printed anatomical model of a clitoris in their sex education classes. The truth is, you might struggle to gain pleasure from a tool you don’t even know you have. In 2016, women finally know without speculation what the whole of their sexual organ looks like; and for many it won’t be quite what they imagined.
You may be wondering, what’s the big deal? Is the clitoris not the “small, sensitive, erectile part of the female genitals at the anterior end of the vulva”, as Oxford Dictionaries defines it? And isn’t the real issue simply whether it brings a woman sexual gratification? Well, decide for yourself.
The popular opinion seems to be that the 3D printed clitoris resembles a wishbone. To my eyes, it also (fittingly) resembles a fleur-de-lys, or, to use a more contemporary example, a tulip emoji.

But the important thing is that it debunks myths that have repressed female sexuality for centuries. For one, it refutes the dictionary/textbook education that wrongly asserts the clitoris is the size of “a fingertip”, a “pea” or that it is small. We can now clearly see that the clitoris includes two shafts (crura) which are actually about 10cm long. Not only can we visualize that the clitoris is more than what the eye perceives; with the visual model we can also now get a mental image of how it encircles the vagina, making penetrative sex potentially orgasmic.

Moreover, with the 3D model, the uninformed ways that women’s bodies are represented, whether through sex education, pop culture or pornography, now just seem silly. Imagine a world where it is common knowledge what a woman’s primary anatomically sexual organ looks like. Imagine how sexually empowered women who can visualise their clits will be. Imagine too how confident men can be when freed from the epidemic deception that satisfying a woman is like winning in the lottery. Such powerful stellar storm is not only adding fire to the mix with intensifying the energetic field of the Moon, but they also bring upgrades from the divine ray of Golden light – our I AM Awareness. Such high frequency events have their A and B sides to them, on the human psyche, the physical and the energetic body. Let’s see what the effects  on our live might be this weekend. On a physical level the impact creates changes in the magnetic field off the human body, just as it does with the magnetic body of the earth. That can easily create disturbances in our biological clock. We might have to go thru changes in their sleeping pattern, will wake up rather restless at unusual times and found it hard  to go back to sleep. And this can go on easily for another 2 nights after the storms have passed. So make sure you do rest when ever you have a minute and especially, when ever you feel like “this is the moment when my body needs to rest”. As such an intense upgrade in divine light is always also a gateway to a possible higher level of Light Body Awakening, it is helpful to listen to the guidance of the sensory self of our body. When we do so, it brings the received vibrations into directly translated embodiment.

But, this is only possible for people with an organized and disciplined mind, and when we are talking about the human collective, than we are talking about many unorganized minds. Means, that many people will experience the impact as a situation of chaotic and scattered mindset and emotions. A solar upgrade in radiance of the physical body also has a strong impact on the human central nervous system. This can be experienced as simple nervousness, increased anxiety, deep worries, sudden dizziness, sudden physical instability, physical or mental exhaustion, sudden feelings of nausea, migraines and headaches.145123Collective problems reported during such a solar opening, are an increased number of accidents of all sorts (traffic, household, public transportation,…), as well as much more injuries from acts of violence, public and domestic!!! Be aware that if you carry such an energy within your personal field, it might lead to manifestation over the coming days. Watch out for yourself and others! Many people we meet on the streets during the day, will be unconscious about this facts, and therefor not understand how they feel physically, mentally, and emotionally altered by electromagnetic charges from the sun. Make sure you are well connected with your HIGHER-SELF, when dealing with others in this wave of shifts for all of us.
Last but not least, it might be important to know, the pineal gland of our brain is affected by the electromagnetic activity. It causes the gland to produce an increased amount of melatonin, and melatonin is the brain’s sleep regulator, but not only, it is also responsible for many of our wonderful moments of divine bliss. So while for many people a pineal gland awakening will come into reality over the coming days and nights, for others the confusion, irritation, fear level and frustration will grow. Make your decision, practice lucid dreaming, meditate and listen closely to the guidance of your guarding angels in the hours to come!!

And don’t you  miss to take a little bath in the sun these days!! Let your inner fire be nurtured by the outer fire of the universe. Claim the light that is yours!! Use this amazing moment in time, to consciously breath in the Christ Consciousness energy, that naturally comes with such a golden download of high frequencies!!

How Our Body Provides Insides About Our Emotional/Spiritual Process

Dear Friends,
for weeks now I dropped again and again the hint, that it is more than ever important for us as a human collective, to regain a healthy and even spiritually connected relationship with the nature forces. Over the last weeks I mainly spoke about the integration of our higher self and all the
massive waves of higher consciousness, that we needed to translate into divine action. And I shared how even  pacha mama is working on adjusting and extending to this higher vibrations right now. And as we all know, the earth and our physical bodies are on! So when the planet is changing as profoundly as its happening right now, you can be sure our physical bodies are doing the same.
In many articles I talked about the change in our DNA to 12 strands, so we can hold a higher vibration of inner light within our physical bodies as well as in our light bodies. And every time when we make a big step in vibration, our bodies need to detox the impact of the past. While doing so, they provide insides about the emotions they release.

What are the natural excretion mechanisms?
The lungs: if you find yourself coughing right after an intense collective energetic impact happens, and at the same time you do not feel like you are actually sick, than it is easily possible your body reacts to the energies and detoxes. In case of the lungs we are talking on emotional level about the feelings of grief, sadness and regret. There is a simple formula to help yourself because, when we are exhaling carbon dioxide leaves our physical body and we detoxify, so conscious breathing is key – as simple as that. Most people breathe much too shallow, loose contact to their body feeling, when hanging out in confined air conditioned spaces. So go out into nature and breath deeply,and aware (techniques you find in the article above) if you want to help your body and spirit make a smooth shift!
A helpful Affirmation is: I now have the capacity to fully take in all sides of life. I Am joyful and live life to the fullest. woman-The skin: when ever we are talking skin, we are talking about boundaries, personally as much as collective. About knowing our personal inner measure, about finding out how we can give to our dearest ones and to society, while staying clear and firmly connected to our higher self’s guidance. So when you have more skin problems in a time of big collective shifts, than it can be an expression of calibrating the paradox, between the beauty of our collective oneness and the need for our individual, private “little self, space and time”. And for some of us, who recently made a leap in inner connection with the animal kingdom, it might be time to start using high quality cosmetic products. Products that are animal abuse free produced!!
A helpful Affirmation is: I lovingly protect myself with thoughts of purity, joy and peace.

The kidneys: are our only equal partner organs in the physical body. So it is just natural, that they are holding the energy for our love life and other human relationship interactions. The kidneys are telling us about how easy or not easy we can let go of things in our life, that clearly have passed their expiration date. They are asking us to find balance in our inner divine masculine and divine feminine powers. And the kidneys are holding one of our most beautiful and powerful paradoxes to release – the opposite of our deepest fears, together with the power, abundance and multi-dimensional expression – of our highest personal potential. So if your kidneys hurt these days, than give them a good rub with both hands, breath deeply and think of reaching your highest divine potential.
A helpful Affirmation is: I dissolve all past problems with ease and gratitude.

Dear Ones, I this insides will help you understand what your body is telling you about your personal release, on the big collective awakening path. I hope it helps you to tolerate the physical discomfort you might experience from time to time, and get into deeper alignment with your physical bodies wisdom and expressions. Understanding Universal Context – The Sacred Geometry Of Yoga

quite a while ago I shared this article about the Alchemy of Conscious Breathing and how it leads us to the Golden Path of Ascension. The teachings of this Golden Path are for many known as the guidance of the second divine ray of the highways of sound and light in the universe, that transmits to us the I AM awareness of our golden Christ Consciousness. Many Ascended Master have walked that path and helped extending the powers of our divine abilities that way. One of this Masters from the Golden Ray, most important for our collective awakening process right now, is the Ascended Masters for World Peace “Surya”. Surya is a God from the Hindu tradition, a world teacher from our sister planet Sirius and representative of the Great Central Sun. His 12 names as Sun God of the Hindus, as the 12 names of the Sun Prayer Yoga Positions.
This is a direct indication that in the profound teachings behind the physical positions, there are 12 keys to ascending our physical body into higher levels of consciousness. When we today create this bridge from the energetic field of Master Surya to the physical expressions of Yoga, we also need to be aware of the shapes and shades of Sacred Geometry that our bodies are building during the exercise. An awareness that leads the Yoga practitioner from the performance of rigid movements, to the deeper layers and blessings of the Yoga Path.

Constantly translating our divine origin into physical manifestation on planet earth, based on the process of photosynthesis, and created by the 5 Elements, known as the Platonic Solids. And this is where another Master comes in, the founder of today’s understanding of mathematics, Pythagoras. And where there is the energy field of Master Pythagoras, who uncovered the mathematical and geometrical basis for life, there is profound wisdom about sacred geometry and how it shapes, shifts and moves human life on planet earth.

In the picture above you can see the sacred shapes of the elements, in 3dimensional form. The one below shows ancient stone balls found in Oxford, in the shape of the Sacred Geometry of the Platonic Solids, which means the knowledge about the elements is around even much longer than any Yoga tradition.

Yoga practices in essence has the sense to integrate this knowledge of the multi-dimensional shapes of our inner sacred geometry, as a method of God Realization. This happens by creating thru conscious breathing a wider space in the physical body, so it can align with our light bodies higher vibration. When we now practicing the “sun salutation” cycle on a regular base, holding the awareness of all this insides in our mind while practicing, we can connect with a profound inner strength, improve our overall health and even experience Cosmic Consciousness that way.

Ashmolean-plato-solidsHere you can see which name is relate to which physical pose, and therefor what kind of energy frequency they are creating in your physical body. Be kind to yourself and don’t expect to much! Go step by step. Start of with just one part of it all. As soon as you are fluent in this part, you can start building up by adding for example the awareness of the divine Names to the mix. When this has settled in you can go on and hum, contemplate or sing the Gayatry Mantra during your conscious breathing and physical movement.

Allow me also to remind you again of the violet flame of transformation and transmutation. The Ascended Master Saint Germain and all the other representatives of the divine violet fire. Integrating the awareness of the violet flame of transformation into the flow of our practice, will increase the impact of our work even more. Be playful, give it a try and watch your divinity unfold within you!!!

Simplifying Childhood May Protect Against Mental Health Issues

a little while ago I shared a post about the changes in our society and how more and more young families are choosing to travel in order to educate their children. Also in the article something extraordinary is happening in the world right now, the same phenomena was mentioned. Last week we spoke about planting a seed of meditation and inner communion in our children, introducing our children to authentic spiritual expression, and supporting our children to develop faith for their life path, in which we received first insides how to help our children cultivate an inner relationship with their higher self. But as we know human beings are made of spirit and matter and so we heard in dirty kids equal healthy kids, how deeply important a loving contact with earth truly is for human beings.

When my Dad was growing up he had one jumper each winter. One. Total. He remembers how vigilantly he cared for his jumper. If the elbows got holes in them my Grandma patched them back together. If he lost his jumper he’d recount his steps to find it again. He guarded it like the precious gift it was. He had everything he needed and not a lot more. The only rule was to be home by dinner time. My Grandma rarely knew exactly where her kids were. They were off building forts, making bows and arrows, collecting bruises and bloody knees and having the time of their lives. They were immersed in childhood.Girl (3-5) playing in mudBut the world has moved on since then. We’ve become more sophisticated. And entered a unique period in which, rather than struggling to provide enough parents are unable to resist providing too much. In doing so, we’re unknowingly creating an environment in which mental health issues flourish. When I read Kim John Payne’s book, Simplicity Parenting one message leaped off the page. Normal personality quirks combined with the stress of “too much” can propel children into the realm of disorder. A child who is systematic may be pushed into obsessive behaviors. A dreamy child may lose the ability to focus.

Payne conducted a study in which he simplified the lives of children with attention deficit disorder. Within four short months 68% went from being clinically dysfunctional to clinically functional. The children also displayed a 37% increase in academic and cognitive aptitude, an effect not seen with commonly prescribed drugs like Ritalin. As a new parent I find this both empowering and terrifying. We officially have a massive opportunity and responsibility to provide an environment in which our children can thrive physically, emotionally and mentally.
So, what are we getting wrong and how can we fix it?

THE BURDEN OF TOO MUCH
Early in his career, Payne volunteered in refugee camps in Jakarta, where children were dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder. He describes them as, “jumpy, nervous, and hyper-vigilant, wary of anything novel or new.” Years later Payne ran a private practice in England, where he recognized many affluent English children were displaying the same behavioral tendencies as the children living in war zones half a world away. Why would these children living perfectly safe lives show similar symptoms?
Payne explains that although they were physically safe, mentally they were also living in a war zone of sorts, “Privy to their parents’ fears, drives, ambitions, and the very fast pace of their lives, the children were busy trying to construct their own boundaries, their own level of safety in behaviors that weren’t ultimately helpful.”

Suffering with a “cumulative stress reaction” as a result of the snowballing effect of too much, children develop their own coping strategies to feel safe. Parents and society are conscious of the need to protect our children physically. We legislate car seats, bike helmets and hover in playgrounds. But protecting mental health is more obscure. But, sadly, we are messing up. Modern day children are exposed to a constant flood of information which they can’t process or rationalize. They’re growing up faster as we put them into adult roles and increase our expectations of them. So, they look for other aspects of their life they can control.jTHE FOUR PILLARS OF EXCESS
Naturally as parents we want to provide our kids with the best start in life. If a little is good, we think more is better, or is it? We enroll them in endless activities. Soccer. Music. Martial arts. Gymnastics. Ballet. We schedule play dates with precision. And we fill every space in their rooms with educational books, devices and toys. The average western child has in excess of 150 toys each and receives an additional 70 toys per year. With so much stuff children become blinded and overwhelmed with choice.
They play superficially rather than becoming immersed deeply and lost in their wild imaginations. Simplicity Parenting encourages parents to keep fewer toys so children can engage more deeply with the ones they have. Payne describes the four pillars of excess as having too much stuff, too many choices, too much information and too much speed. When children are overwhelmed they lose the precious down time they need to explore, reflect and release tension. Too many choices erodes happiness, robbing kids of the gift of boredom which encourages creativity and self-directed learning. And most importantly “too much” steals precious time.

PROTECTING CHILDHOOD
Similar to the anecdote of the heat slowly being turned up and boiling the unsuspecting frog, so too has society slowly chipped away at the unique wonder of childhood, redefining it and leaving our kid’s immature brains drowning trying to keep up. Many refer to this as a “war on childhood”.
Developmental Psychologist David Elkind reports kids have lost more than 12 hours a week of free time per week in the last two decades meaning the opportunity for free play is scarce. Even preschools and kindergartens have become more intellectually-oriented. And many schools have eliminated recess so children have more time to learn.

The time children spend playing in organized sports has been shown to significantly lower creativity as young adults, whereas time spent playing informal sports was significantly related to more creativity. It’s not the organized sports themselves that destroy creativity but the lack of down time. Even two hours per week of unstructured play boosted children’s creativity to above-average levels.

PARENTS TAKE CHARGE
So, how do we as parents protect our kids in this new “normal” society has created?
Simple, we say no. We protect our kids and say no, so we can create space for them to be kids. No, Sam can’t make the birthday party on Saturday. No, Sophie can’t make soccer practice this week. And we recreate regular down time providing a sense of calm and solace in their otherwise chaotic worlds. It provides a release of tension children know they can rely on and allows children to recover and grow, serving a vital purpose in child development.
We filter unnecessary busyness and simplify their lives. We don’t talk about global warming at the dinner table with a seven year old. We watch the news after our kids are asleep. We remove excessive toys and games from our toddler’s room when they’re sleeping. We recreate and honor childhood.momOur children have their whole lives to be adults and to deal with the complexities of life, but only a fleetingly short time in which they can be kids. Silly, fun loving kids. Childhood serves a very real purpose. It’s not something to “get through”. It’s there to protect and develop young minds so they can grow into healthy and happy adults. When society messes too much with childhood, young brains react. By providing a sense of balance and actively protecting childhood we’re giving our children the greatest gift they’ll ever receive.

According To The Latest Harvard Study The Secret Of Happiness Is…

Dear Friends,
over the last months I have shared a lot of information about this years general energies, about the dimensions of self-mastery we are invited to reach in 2016 on a spiritual level, and how inner happiness is a matter of  self-responsibility. Knowing that, we can be grateful that we are of course never alone on our quest for higher vibrations but have been supported by the the last Full Moon’s impact, to reach our collective goals.
The inner transformation this energies created have collectively triggered more pineal gland awakenings, and such an awakening is needed for us to hold higher levels of happiness in our brains and light bodies. As this shift is done by now, it is a wonderful moment to look into the data of this study from Harvard University, about the scientific facts “what it is that makes human beings happy”!!
