The Values We Hope To Pass On…

by Edith Boyer-Telmer

Dear Friends,
the other day I had a wonderful talk with a group of people who are very interested in sharing their awakening with others in this world, discussing the magic and power that our words have to create our reality. That many who value their word, enjoy the expression of silence a lot, and how a little repertoire for expressing kindness and support for others can help us a long way in the experience of our collective path into the Golden Age of Aquarius

Than yesterday I run into this beautiful piece, coming from the facebook page of Amy Beth Gardner, and I had the impression its a wonderful example of how the values we are passing on to future generations, is what we have to put into practice right here and now and ourselves!!

My daughter starts middle school tomorrow. We’ve decorated her locker, bought new uniforms, even surprised her with a new backpack. But tonight just before bed, we did another pre-middle school task that is far more important than the others.
I gave her a tube of toothpaste and asked her to squirt it out onto a plate. When she finished, I calmly asked her to put all the toothpaste back in the tube. She began exclaiming things like “But I can’t!” and “It won’t be like it was before!” I quietly waited for her to finish and then said the following:

“You will remember this plate of toothpaste for the rest of your life. Your words have the power of life or death. As you go into middle school, you are about to see just how much weight your words carry. You are going to have the opportunity to use your words to hurt, demean, slander and wound others. You are also going to have the opportunity to use your words to heal, encourage, inspire and love others.
You will occasionally make the wrong choice; I can think of three times this week I have used my own words carelessly and caused harm. Just like this toothpaste, once the words leave your mouth, you can’t take them back.
Use your words carefully, Breonna. When others are misusing their words, guard your words. Make the choice every morning that life-giving words will come out of your mouth. Decide tonight that you are going to be a life-giver in middle school. Be known for your gentleness and compassion. Use your life to give life to a world that so desperately needs it. You will never, ever regret choosing kindness.”

Don’t mix bad words with your bad mood. You’ll have many opportunities to change a mood, but you’ll never get the opportunity to replace the words you spoke.

Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate, and to humble.
Yehuda Berg

Handle them carefully, for words have more power than atom bombs.
Pearl Strachan Hurd

If we understood the power of our thoughts, we would guard them more closely. If we understood the awesome power of our words, we would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and words, we create our own weaknesses and our own strengths. Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts. We can always replace negative with positive.
Betty Eadie

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.
Mother Teresa

Kind words are a creative force, a power that concurs in the building up of all that is good, and energy that showers blessings upon the world.
Lawrence G. Lovasik

Words are seeds that do more than blow around. They land in our hearts and not on the ground. Be careful what you plant and careful what you say. You might have to eat what you planted one day.

Dear ones, I hope you feel highly motivated right now to put your own head, heart and hands into action, so that the values you are passing on to future generations are authentic and truly fit to serve the creation of a Golden Age of Aquarius for all beings living on planet earth.
Love and Blessings
