When Will They Ever Learn? Obedience Versus Self-Responsibility

by Edith Boyer-Telmer

Dear Friends,
a little while ago, I shared with you an article called “The importance of protest and revolution in modern society“. In this piece I spoke up about the need for our authentic, clear voices for change and a collectively more humane behavior in this world. In the triology “The positive and the negative side of silence number one“, “number two” and “number three“, I shared a lot of insides how to differenciate the elevating impact of keeping it quiet, from the pressuring feeling of being silenced as well as further shades of grey. What all this articles have in commun, is a call for self-empowerment by the masses, and for raising our voices in the name of a collective awakening into brotherhood of man. Into a time of absolute mutual respect between all beings on earth.
As it looks like on the planet right now, it will have to be taken into the peoples hands, to maintain a healthy, authentic and most of all sustainable living. Native American Ethics Rules still tell us about our duty to treat and prepare  the physical land, planet mother earth, as a source which was lend to this generation, in order to make positive desicions for the next seven generations. When each and every human being on earth can say that about themselves, we truly all can live in prosperity and peace.

In any way it is no longer a matter of governmental desision, police forces impact or military strength that will make the difference in the world, a true long-lasting transformation will only be achieved when the folks are standing up for their authentic needs, hopes and deepest soul desires. We can no longer wait for others to provide the moral guidlines or ethical examples we are looking for, it is time for us to become them.
We have to seek every chance to grow up, and take every chance to be responsibile for our own actions, the things that effect our world and the general prosperity of human kind. Non of us can say we are not part of it, non of us can refuse to take their part. Being a woman, I particularly feel the need to earch particularly the women of this world, to step up and take their part.

The most sensible and jealous people are so little attentive to government that there are no instances of resistance until repeated, multiplied oppressions have placed it beyond a doubt that their rulers had formed settled plans to deprive them of their liberties; not to oppress an individual or a few, but to break down the fences of a free constitution, and deprive the people at large of all share in the government, and all the checks by which it is limited.
John Adams

When a man loves a woman, he has to become worthy of her. The higher her virtue, the more noble her character, the more devoted she is to truth, justice, goodness, the more a man has to aspire to be worthy of her. The history of civilization could actually be written in terms of the level of its women.
Fulton J. SheenPeter, Paul & Mary – Where Have All The Flowers Gone
Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the flowers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the flowers gone?
Young girls have picked them everyone.

Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where have all the young girls gone, long time passing?
Where have all the young girls gone, long time ago?

Where have all the young girls gone?
Gone for husbands everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the husbands gone, long time passing?
Where have all the husbands gone, long time ago?
Where have all the husbands gone?
Gone for soldiers everyone

Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where have all the soldiers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the soldiers gone, long time ago?

Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards, everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the graveyards gone, long time passing?
Where have all the graveyards gone, long time ago?
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Gone to flowers, everyone.

Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the flowers gone, long time ago?

Where have all the flowers gone?
Young girls have picked them everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Dear ones, it is truly time for all of us to step into a more aware and deeply sustainable lifestyle, to challenge our lazy inner side and not allow our desire for comfort, to let us slow down the process of manifesting the Golden Age of Aquarius on this planet. We all need to take more responsibility in not repeating the mistakes we have made in the past, so our children have a chance for a better future in harmony with mother earth and each other.
Love and Golden Light!
Edith
